Ok, one of the writers for this mission definitely likes Tom Clancy. the 2 subs that launch you are uss chicago, (which was in red storm rising), and uss dallas (from the hunt for red october).

I have a Question that my friends and I are fighting about, When you silent takedown the guard at the beginning, do you just drown the guard, or do you drown and stab him? violent, huh, lol

On the smoke bit, go to the far right of the staircase and move along that side as fast as u can. Shooting everyone of course.

Holy shit this level is hard on veteran at the top level. I keep getting killed, and Soap/Ghost never watch my back from flanks
