Well I do think that season 5 was getting to feel a little burned out, doing similar stuff to what had already been done. But still if you just look through the episode list or watch them, you can be pretty impressed with how much fun they are and how cinematic they are. A few episodes I wasn't that fond of in season 5 but I enjoyed them all.

Keller needs to die a horrible painful death so John can have Rodney. It is obvious that they belong together, because John lvoes Rodney, even though he is his arrogant asshole of himself.

McKeller ruined so much of the last season. They tried to make her so vital and forced that "romance" down our throats. It was so wrong and just threw the coarse of episodes and the dimension of the characters off course and out of proportion.
Yeah. I was okay with Keller during season 4, but that was before she was suddenly the star of the show. I did not sign up for "Dr Keller's Sparkly Space Adventures," but that was what season 5 kept shoving down our throats. And don't even get me started on McKeller. Midlife crisis much, McKay? He should just have bought himself a sportcar and called it a day. :/
McKeller is the mistake of the century. I don't think they could have picked two characters that fit less together... It's pathetic. And I don't know why everyone's so crazy about Keller either, she annoys the hell out of me. Oh, and - the beauty and the nerd stuff? Am I the only one who thinks Keller isn't that much of a beauty? Seriously... of all the reasons to stick two characters together... Meh.
I Actually stopped watching the new eps and stuck with watching the old ones over, i didnt mind the first 3 seasons and Shweir, it was subtle but there and it worked, unlike McKeller which is just Ughh!. Then they went and took Elizabeth out of the show,does anyone think thats a huge mistake? and now they need a new "couple". its like they want people to love Keller as much as they loved Liz which lets face it wont happen,getting rid of Torri was their biggest mistake after that it went downhill

Thanks for posting this! Thank god this part of the ep was at the beginning so I never need to sit through this garbage of an episode again. Worst in the history of Atlantis. Their only major story arc this season...McKay gets some action. Completely ridiculous.
Ooooh, I'd have loved for more Sheppard/ McKay friendship scenes... like the one they dumped when Rodney had to go back to earth for Jeannie. It's so wrong of them to push in some lovey-dovey McKay-Keller now, I mean there's only four more episodes left, they could have just dropped that... i loved this show, it is the only scifi show that caters for many audiences, and i think it was about time there was some kind of emotional side to atlantis. it is the diversity of the show that makes it so great, not just the things that go bang and the CGI. just my view mind you...
Uh, I can assure you that I have never watched this show for the CGI or the action sequences.
I'm in it for the team interaction. And guess what, thanks to McKay's badly written romance plot, there has been very little of that this season. Instead of depictions of deep and meaningful friendships we get treated to an in depth view of McKay's midlife crisis. Frankly, it makes me sick.
The only reason I wouldn't call this ep "abysmal" is that Bill Nye was my childhood hero and he got to save the day. Without Bill, though, this would have been an unsalvageable wreck.
THANK YOU. Someone else thinks this episode was abysmal. It's ironic that they chose THIS episode to throw in the "hidden message--SAVE OUR SHOW" ploy within Jen and Rodney's final conversation. I mean, if they want to be saved, at least hide the message in a better episode!!
I still don't want it to be cancelled, though. So I can't watch McKeller eventually die and have my weekly dose of NORMAL Rodney again ;)
My reaction to this episode: *facepalm* I mean, really? I hate the OC, Sex and the City, etc., and now the idiot writers are turning SGA into that. I'm going to really miss Sheppard and McKay, but part of me is glad the show is almost over. Less time for the writers to screw up our characters. =/
