if you look back on the entire TC you'll see I think it's Colby say that they were not necessarily targeting Parvati, which means he gave away what they were going to do. So, even though Parv played the Idols in a brilliant way it was essentially Colby that confirmed Parv's suspicions and therefore caused the downfall of the Heroes.

The goal of survivor is not to get to the end by barrelling through, threatening and insulting everyone who gets in your way -like russell did-; but to play a game that is cunning; both social and strategic, like what sandra and parvati did.
