I'm preparing for my mission and i cant wait, i feel the spirit every day as i read the Book of Mormon and pray to our Heavenly Father. In the first book of Nephi when it talked about the the spacious building when Nehi was given a vision, people were pointing and laughing at the followers. It was revealed that in the latter-days, which we are in now, it was going to get tough with everyone fighting against us. Seeing this strengthens my testimony.

Everytime someone slanders the name of the Prophet Joseph, i think about what was said by Moroni. These so called protesters are actually fulfilling prophecy. They are helping to give me a firmer conviction of and stronger testimony of this gospel. I thank them for strengthening my personal testimony of Joseph Smith's defined work here on earth.

I am an RM i plan to get married in the temple. I love this church. I know it to be true. I love the protesters, i think its wonderful that they're exercising their rights, even though they do get annoying, obnoxious and rather rude sometimes. They ARE Heavenly Fathers children, the same as us, and if Christ loves 'em, and Heavenly Father loves 'em. Frankly so do i. Just leave them be, and enjoy conference. :-D

Just an FYI, not all mormons can go through the temple. Only those who hold a Temple Recommend. Namely adult members of the church who meet certain standards.

@jayhawk88z Look up the definition of Christian, we fit the bill suit. If God is a "Spirit" and not a "Man" like unto us whom he created, how could we have ever been created in God's image? Obviously God would not give man something he doesn't already have. A body. Therefore God has a body, he knows all things aka "omniscient", so I am curious, if God has no body, yet he understands everything, how can he understand what it's like to have a body?

@jayhawk88z All I personally know, is that I love God with all my heart. And I have a testimony of his work. If God no longer speaks, and only spake, then he is no longer God. For he is a liar, and the Bible tells us that God is no liar, and is "the same yesterday, today, and forever", he spake then, why not now? Or are you suggesting that the Bible is wrong?

@jayhawk88z The word Bible originates from the Greek word "Bibla" meaning, the books. Basically meaning that the Bible was compiled over thousands of years, by both ancient Prophets and Apostles. They wrote it in primarily ancient Egyptian and Hebrew. So at some point to bring this marvelous book to our modern world in a language most understand, it had to be translated into other languages. One word in ancient Egyptian & or Hebrew mean many things in English...

@jayhawk88z Just as Jesus Christ had to physically lay his hands upon each of his Apostles heads to confer that office on them. We today cannot expect to have automatic authority just by believing in Christ. We have to do it the same way. No exceptions.
Translating the Bible the way it has been done for so long, is like saying "let's make a copy of a copy 100 times." I can tell you from experience that before you've even made 40 copies, you'll wind up guessing what some words are.

The physical church does, but never his doctrine, and temples are part of his doctrine. All the work that goes on inside has to do with uniting families forever and redeeming the dead. How could that end with Christ's death on the cross? I am truly curious.

I believe The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is the one and only true church and that the Book of Mormon is another testament of Jesus Christ, Ive been to many churches even though i was born into the church, alot of churches would scare me when i was a little kid. scare me as in i felt something malevolent. This church is the only church ive ever felt peace and could feel the Holy Ghost. The church keeps my family together and happy, even when the road gets bumpy. SPREAD THE GOSPEL

I'm preparing for my mission and i cant wait, i feel the spirit every day as i read the Book of Mormon and pray to our Heavenly Father. In the first book of Nephi when it talked about the the spacious building when Nehi was given a vision, people were pointing and laughing at the followers. It was revealed that in the latter-days, which we are in now, it was going to get tough with everyone fighting against us. Seeing this strengthens my testimony.

Everytime someone slanders the name of the Prophet Joseph, i think about what was said by Moroni. These so called protesters are actually fulfilling prophecy. They are helping to give me a firmer conviction of and stronger testimony of this gospel. I thank them for strengthening my personal testimony of Joseph Smith's defined work here on earth.

I am an RM i plan to get married in the temple. I love this church. I know it to be true. I love the protesters, i think its wonderful that they're exercising their rights, even though they do get annoying, obnoxious and rather rude sometimes. They ARE Heavenly Fathers children, the same as us, and if Christ loves 'em, and Heavenly Father loves 'em. Frankly so do i. Just leave them be, and enjoy conference. :-D

@jayhawk88z It's something that my non-mormon friends understand. They know what they have to do in order to receive the privileges of the temple. Just an FYI, not all mormons can go through the temple. Only those who hold a Temple Recommend. Namely adult members of the church who meet certain standards.
I wasn't able to go inside when my older sister got married. I wasn't disappointed at all. I knew that she would be there for mine. What's to be disappointed about?

Obviously God would not give man something he doesn't already have. A body. Therefore God has a body, he knows all things aka "omniscient", so I am curious, if God has no body, yet he understands everything, how can he understand what it's like to have a body?

@jayhawk88z Your definition sounds like the Islamic definition of God or Allah, they say he has no body. Yet he is all powerful aka "omnipotent", but if he has no body, that is not possible. The Bible states in the 10 commandments, that "thou shalt not put any other Gods before me!" He is the only God. But by the time we are able to understand what he now understands, he will have progressed far beyond that spectrum. So he will still be God, and OUR God, yes.

@boogiemennv But doesn't it seem hypocritical of God to give us Commandments to obey if we are automatically saved anyway? It seems not only hypocritical but completely counter productive to his will for us. (James 2:13-18) "man say he hath faith, and not works? Can faith save him? Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone." So why are we automatically saved when God clearly needs us to prove our faith by our works, or seal our faith by our works?
