dude this movie was my life when i was a kid. i started becoming so interested in the culture and anthropology of India very soon after that. i visited there recently and its everything i thought it would be.. and the women over there are really looked at as princesses. beautiful in everyway

This is the most wonderful version of The Little Princess ever, the colours of the clothes are just wonderful. I've watched this with my nieces since they were small and it still remains a favourite to watch on one of their sleep overs. I don't know a little girl (or adult little girl) who isn't totally captivated by it.

I love how this movie delineates the characters. A scene that sends shivers down my spine is when Sara confronts Miss Minchin stating 'We're all princesses...didn't your father tell you that?' When Miss Minchin storms out the room and that camera zooms in on her and she puts her hand to her face, I always cannot help but feel that she had a harsh, albeit abusive upbringing, bullied and in turn takes it out on Sarah who has been more fortunate than her.
