Yes and no. I have always abhorred spending either a lot of time or a lot of money on prayer. So from about 86-93 I used xp lamps from effigies dropped during slayer and troll invasion. I could have gotten turm any time I wanted. If you note my slayer level (99 now then 97) I could have easily gotten enough cash in a day to get turm if i wanted to. I only got turm after 99 slay because I knew I wasn't going to slay as much and therefore have less xp lamps.
