@ai9o Low and slow! Low heat over a long time. And DO NOT touch that shit until it's ready to dab. None of that scraping it to the middle or popping bubbles or whipping... NONE! The trick is to spray into a warm dish and keep it warm throughout the purge. Maintaining a steady temperature(anywhere between 130f-170f depending on strain) is crucial. Too much heat and/or agitation will start to budder/wax. Too little will trap tane. Read the purging threads on Toke City for more info.

@chronicconnection Thanks man. And yeah, I prefer the quartz over Ti when it comes to flavor. Titanium adds an undesirable taste to the vapor, but it is more effective if you're taking larger hits. I've been comparing them for months now, I didn't come to this conclusion after just a few dabs. A lot of people claim that quartz adds the bad taste... idk wtf people are talking about 'cause all I taste is my dab and nothing else. Maybe people aren't letting it cool enough? Idk.
@ThrottleWFO i think it has something to do with the heat and seasoning. i got a quartz cup nail and it tasted like garbage the first 5 dabs i did. like torched burnt shit hash. i then seasoned the fuck out of it for a few days and played around with the heat and when its not too hot it tastes much better but still has a taste. this didnt happen with my other quartz nails, so some seem to fuck up the flavor, im still playing around with heat but my ti is on its way and hopefully its better

The shape and size of the dabbing area determines a lot of it's thermal characteristics so that makes sense that different nails would taste different. When I let mine cool, I even put it in the dark to make sure it's not glowing at all.
