@SexyTurtles101 Funny enough, it's mainly non-French who speak endlessly about the Guillotine. In France, it's history and we don't give a flying toss about it anymore. But, to put it bluntly, the Guillotine is more sexy than the gas chambers/lethal injections/firing squads/gallows you still have in the USA ;) ciao
I was recently at an event where I happened to be sitting at the same table as Jerry Nelson. This song came on and he said, very non-chalantly, "Oh I remember when we did this on the Muppet Show." So amazing!
I love the muppets i'm 37 yrs ol and the world is a sadder place without the brilliant work of Jim Henson. my 6 yr old love syoutube for the fraggles and the muppet show clips.. and the classic sesame street as well.. thank god for you tube cause it would be horrible not to have a laugh again at miss piggy and crazy harry:)
i was waiting for animal to dance around in his white suit and black shirt. maybe, do a breakdance move and pause in the middle of the dance floor. why not???
I love the that!!! My dad says I'm to old for the muppets but you can whatch the muppets if your 1 to 100, every body can use a good laugh sometimes!!! Awsome thanks for putting this on youtube!!
My dad is the one who got me into the Muppets in the first place. I'm 20 and he's pushing 50 and we still watch the show together. You're right, you're NEVER too old for Muppets!
The Muppet Show was not only hilarious but educational as well. Kids would watch this, wonder who Marie Antoinette was and how "Stayin Alive" was relevant to her, and go and learn something new and enrich their minds. Yay for the Muppet Show!
Did you notice that the reason why the pigs were all running away like crazy at the end of the song is because of the guillotine standing outside the window?
@disneynut06 what are you retarded? maybe you should go look up marie antoinette...fuck, the name of the song shes singing is "staying alive" which isnt a coincidence just in case you didnt get that
@disneynut06 : It seems because that represents France with Marie-Antoinette and Louis XVI. They were beheaded in the end of 18th Century, and the pigs like weared from this period
I love how hilariously gigantic Link's wig is. XD

This segment immediately reminded me of Madonna's performance of "Vogue" at the 1990 MTV awards. Maybe she was inspired by the Muppets? :-)

I like a lot of Sofia Coppola's work, but that movie was a good example of form over content. The 80's new wave music was great.

the french revolution would have been interesting if music had been like this lol. Marie Antoinette could have boogied her way to the guillotine?

I think only Piggy ran because Marie was beheaded by her subjects and court, they're presumably trying to catch her.
