  • Did you hear the guys screaming out "Tool! Fucking Tool! Fucking Tool and shit!" and "I cook meth in my house!"? Those guys were standing right next to me pushing me around and calling me a jackass cause I wasn't dancing. I was just trying to watch the band perform cause I was pretty tired by that time, but these guys just kept pushing me and shit. And then finally I looked at the one that was doing it the most and said "Dude, fuck off!". Needless to say he stopped and smoked me out. Haha

  • Wow They still have it on them

  • this is stunning... ive been looking for 2009 videos.

im seeing them the 27th.... for my first time.... FLORR TICKETS!! :DDDD

  • i was too close to catch a drumstick, or anything, i had such a wonderful time, totally going to see them again

  • did they play ANY different songs or was it just standard songs + Flood again?

  • Google toolshed and click on tour, then click on the city, only two so far, and people post their experiences. But yes to answer your question it was the same show they have been playing for two years, minus the best part, Wings I and II. Oh well, I guess a disappointing set from TOOL beats a great set from any other band. Great for nubies but sucks for diehards who have already seen this show in multiple cities and who bought tickets for multiple cities this tour.

  • they could play ions for four minuets and as long as theyre on stage, thats enough for me, and trust me im a diehard fan, so imagine how happy i will be on Aug 5th when i see them live , AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I hope Toronto is luckier! Since there isnt a festival and less rush for timeline. If they play for anything more than 1:30 we will b lucky!

  • I don't think the set list was disappointing. It's hard to call a Tool show "disappointing." It would've been nice to hear some different songs, but it's ultimately not a huge deal. Also, sorry about the shakiness. It's hard to keep still without a tripod and a girl in front of me was going overly crazy.

  • @tommyboyunm Pretty sure maynard has some difficulty pulling off songs like 'The grudge'. Pretty sure he just can't scream as well anymore.

  • thanks for the video! was one of the best shows i have seen

  • This show was amazing!!! Anyone who bitches, well, maybe next time don't go so I can enjoy the show from a little closer. MJK was powerful as hell. Nicely said JakeP555. Wise.

  • Great show, I agree about the bitching, I've heard a lot of tool fans say they didn't like lateralus or 10,000 days too much, I absolutely loved them. Where was Manyards dildo last night? lol

  • I can understand why some fans may be frustrated due to the setlist, and I would love to see them mix it up. However, we have been bitching about when would they tour again, and now that they deliver, we still bitch. There will be a new album soon enough, which means there will be a completely different setlist. Keep in mind, MJK's voice has changed over the years and I know it has to be tough for him to sing some of their older material. EX: parabol/parabola.That's tough to sing period.

  • I caught their drumstick!

  • I wish people would shut the fuck up during the show, have some respect

  • Seriously. It's fucking annoying. There was some dude behind me trying to clap the beat during "Forty Six & 2." I paid to hear the band, not to hear his miserable clapping.

  • HA! That's funny. I was up in front, waited for two hours after Incubus to get that close and when Tool came on there were people serioulsy trying to mosh and I'm like f**k, how are you gonna mosh when we can't even move and packed liked sausages, ya know cause everyone rushed the stage, I could hardly hear maynard cause everyone around me was screaming every lyric, was a great show and was fun to see maynard get naked...or at least down to his black boxers :)

  • You're right about people singing over Maynard. Most of the diehards don't do that. You want all that time to hear him and he's already mixed so low as it is. I try move when people are trying to have a karaoke contest. I never understood moshing at a TOOL show because they're more of a cerebral band. I wish they would spike all those meatheads beer with LSD and I bet they would calm down and watch in amazement like the rest of us.

  • This was my first time seeing them and I had to get out of the pit and once I did and went a further back then I could hear his voice and he sound amazing it was just so muffled in the front and the moshing; I talked to some tool diehards who have seen them like 5 times and they were like this is ridiculous, it is never like this, people don't mosh and all the pushing and shoving, I think it was bc it was the end of the day so people were just really drunk and agressive.Cops had to get in there.

  • Wow, 5 times. Very hardcore. The end of the day ? For whome ? TOOL fans ? That's how meatheads get down and why I was as far away as possible :)

  • lol I wanted to be as close to maynard as possible and I was so I don't regret gettin in there but it was nice when I got out, just to kick back and listen to the music, laser show was cool too.

  • I think the best place to hear Maynard is toward the middle. I took my girlfriend to see APC in 2003 and we were front row. She said after the show, that she had a hard time hearing him. I was disappointed cause that was her first time. After that, we always try to be in the middle. On the 10k days tour in 07, we were in the first row where the seats start and dead center. We heard him as well as possible seeing how he's always mixed so low. That's why people singing can be so frustrating.

  • very true, singing at concerts is not cool or if they do just sing low, no one wants to hear some loud off tune fucks voice when ya came to hear maynard jeez....don't you just want to just bottle'em?

  • Thank you!

  • @ButtahFish - Yes. Puscifer in Dallas the shorest guy one row in front of us, wearing the biggest hat, decided to stand up the whole show. This created a pyramid of people that could no longer sit behind him and enjoy the show...

  • Same setlist as two years ago? :/

  • No kidding, I hope this was just a festival setlist and that they're not going to rehash the same one for this summer tour again.

  • Outstanding live performance, as usual, from the legends.
