no you no need to pass all.

but stickers you get from story,it use for create things.

and when you start to create something you "must" pass tutorials (yes it's boring but necessary)

so you don't have to pass all of story but all of tutorials

@renatoboo Yes! You have to complete story mode first. I did!! But when you finish story, you go to your moon and press on a random part, then you play all of the tutorials and then you can make your levels.
