This version from the 1970's must have been filmed twice because I have a version on VHS with many if the same actors, some different though and many of the rooms look different. I saw the other version first and that's also my favourite, I like this version though, many thanks for posting. It's a great film.

@dml190 Yes, this was the TV version for the BBC's "PLAY FOR TODAY", but it was banned. It was remade for the cinema two years later featuring many of the original actors, although the prequel scene where Davies escapes his firs Borstal wasn't in it.
