Wally came from Susan Bently of Benayr in Idaho. His dam is CH Benayr Clara Voyant and his sire is CH Benayr Master of Surprise. He is now (July 09) 4 1/2 years old. In addition to agility we do obedience, rally and demos at schools on bite prevention. We also play around with freestyle and have tried earthdog.
Watching your latest video a 2nd time, I realized there was NO fence and Wally stayed in the ring. I'm so impressed! How did you get that amazing recall? I am having difficulty keeping my Aussie Jake's attention in new environments or even around new dogs in class. He wants to say hello to each and every dog he has not met.
Bravo Wally! He brings a smile to my face. As a proud mother/handler of a 3 year old Aussie, I love watching Wally run! Its a real treat to see his Aussie spirit. And it is good to know that my Aussie Jake is not the only one who is both brilliant and also into "doing his own thing" --both with great enthusiam. Go Wally Go! -Devorah (and Jake)
Wally (even Evil Twin Walter) is my heart and soul dog, my dream dog. He's a joy to live with, fun to train, and yes, even an NQ with my best boy is a lot of fun. Think you can see he has fun in everything he does.
You just can't help but smile as Wally (or Evil Wally as you called him) gallivants around the course.. he looked like he was having fun doing it HIS way!
Thanks for sharing what it's like when things just don't go the way you want them to!

I think one of the most difficult part in obed/agil trials is breaking the dogs from distractions. I had a chi that kept sniffing the ground no matter what. It didn't help when a previous dog had pooped on the track!
