  • Love it...love the short scale banjo too! Who makes it?

  • @banjony - Thanks for the kinds words. That's a Slingerland tenor banjo that I converted to 5 string using the original neck.... wider fingerboard to accomodate 5 strings, also increases down-pressure on the bridge.

  • @5000eclipse Sounds good...ive been trying to learn this version off of your video, but for some reason, even though I am in A tuning, I seem to be out of tune ! Grrr....oh well

  • @banjony ------- I don't often tune to a fork or to a pipe, so the absolute pitch of my instruments tends to drift . I listened to the clip..... sounds like I was about a half-note sharp, but all the strings were pretty much in tune with each other. Try tuning your 5th string to the first note of the tune, then tune your other strings to the 5th string. That should put you close to the tuning in the clip.

  • @5000eclipse Yup that did the trick! Learned all of it! Thanks for the lesson...really appreciate people doing that...upload more if you can...its so helpful

  • Hanna .. mind if i borrow it for a while too?

  • Nice playing!! Good old time tune!!
