There are two euphoniums in my band, me being a senior and the other being a sophomore and the sophomore tried playing the first solo, looked at me and said, "It's all yours." I loved it though, best solo I've ever had.

the euphonium will always be the most beautiful sounding instrument in the world! if you need something to be played, the euphonium will never be a bad call! cuz us euphonium players always say this "Yeah, i can make that work on my euphonium, how do you want it played?"(- Steven Mead) Holst knew we would work hard! so thats why this is one of the best pieces for euphonium!

i love this piece! i preformed it most of my junior year in high school and then had a chance to hear Michigan university Wind Ensemble preform it the same year needless to say that they preformed with a higher quality than us but it was just breathtaking.

0:31, there is a trumpet, I think 2nd that misses a note, and plays too high. It requires great concentration to hear it. If you have a score, concentrate and follow along with it and see if you can hear it.

Back in '98, our band (6A) out of Oklahoma traveled all the way to Richmond VA to play this for a concert band contest. Not until we got their did we find out we were the only high school band in the contest, so between this piece and our extra experience playing, it wasn't even a fair contest.
