  • im glad you modernized the interior. i fucking hate it when youtube commenters bitch about people changing the original interior. not to burst their bubbles, but dodge cars had infamously cheap interiors. i love chargers and challengers but tbh their interiors sucked major ass

  • That's wicked-I like the mating of modern tech & an classic body-I bet that catches the Blue Oval lovers off-guard!

  • Nicely done.

  • There still needs to be some tunning he should get a little more than that at the wheels.

  • has anyone stopped to think that the owner has the interior that he actually wanted and not what YT watchers wanted?!? You know, being it's his car and all, I'm just saying...

  • This thing doesn't sound right to me....does it have headers?

  • i dont see whats wrong with putting better seats in for comfort.

  • Like the interior, I just don't like the steering wheel that much. Too modern for it.

  • is that hemi orange?

  • @srvgod yes

  • and all the owner says is >> hahaha OK

  • Nice car man, we are putting the 6.1 in our 71 Challenger was the wiring hard at all? That is our only concern.

  • @freedomwalkkid are you usinga crate motor? i want one for my vh aussie charger but i have heard the mopar crate motors arent the best value? im in aus so its very ford, chev dominated here and finding chrysler information and parts is hard.

  • @twinturboteen18 Mopar crate motors seem to be a bit more expensive, i'm guessing because there's less people/companies producing them as opposed to ford and chevy. Hey you know, you should try Carolina Machine Engines (CME) and see if they ship to you. I remember seeing a bunch of 408's and 440's that they make for cheap, like, around 4-5 k and you get a brand new machined engine made from a solid chunk of metal. That's a good price range too, i've seen the same engines, same power for 10-15 k

  • @DeAdiSSu3 Cheers for that mate. Sounds like a bargain especially for a scratch built engine.

  • @DeAdiSSu3 Thats who rebuilt my 318 shortblock, and did the heads for my charger, it is awesome, they done fantastic work and was really one on one with me during my build, Ritchie is who i dealt with, he really took the time and went over it all with me, i Give them a thumbs up times ten,!!!!!!!!

  • @irarawkstarr

    shit ima do that

actually ima try and mix the old dashboard and steering wheel with a classing gear shift, and up to date cloth seats and shit

  • @irarawkstarr hell yeah bo but that new engine is dope

  • way cool car I wish I could afford it !

  • I think micheal westin needs one of these

  • Where did you get those front lights man i love those

been trying put them on my 74 se

  • @TheNerdSwagg wait on ebay

  • Watch this video again. Great running car you have there, and it looks great too. Even for the second or third time around or more...yl

  • Hi Im new at this Please tell me how to tune up my 318 v8 72 charger SE, i just bought it and i dont know where to start!!

    Thanx

  • @swizzzlin I'd probably get a nice exhaust and some street legal race headers, let that muscle breathe!

  • @papertigers426 Any Brands come to mind?? Thanx

  • @swizzzlin Your best option would be throwing that little 318 into a lake and swapping in a 440. But if you wanna keep the small block, start with intake, carb, headers, cam and if you still have money left some porting on the heads

  • @swizzzlin well i had a friend who wanted to do a 318 twin turbo...u should chase that idea i think it has been done before

  • V-Nice looking car you have there. I like the idea of the new Hemi motor with 6 speed trans instaled. Is the motor stock from the car it came from ? Made great power & TQ even if it was a little hotter then stock. I had a 73 SE Charger myself with a U code 440 in it. Great car. But I would rather have your setup. How much room is there with the Hemi. The 440 left very little space left. Pluss the weight would be way more with a 440 combo. Are there headers out there for this setup ? yl

  • @ylism The HEMI's a narrower block compared to a 440RB engine. Its about the same but TTI headers will do the trick and you'd need a mini starter.

  • @keit420 Thanks for the info you gave me & nygq72 as well. Mopars are even better now. Thank's again, yl

  • How does the third generation Hemi compare to a big block 440 in terms of power? The conversion to the new hemi is tempting, but how difficult is it to do this conversion? Are there any conversion kits available? I have a 1971 Dodge Charger that I would like to make into an R/T clone. This 1972 Rallye has the styling clues I am looking for my car. Especially the interior. Like the idea of reliable fuel injection and increased gas mileage with the look of a classic muscle car.

  • @nygq72 just googling I found bouchillon performance who sell crate Mopars of all kinds, old and new. Another company I found is mopartsracing com who do the same. These sites even show these new Hemis retrofitted with carbs for the best of both worlds. That prank show with Chip Foose where they "steal" a car and customize it had a new hemi w/carb going into an old Mopar (don't remember which car), but there are kits to do this conversion. I like the look of the old '68-'70 so do it!

  • @nygq72 to the right, "6.1 HEMI Satellite" is another company that seems to know how to do these conversions

  • @nygq72 to the right, 6.1 HEMI Satellite is another company that seems to know how to do these conversions

  • @nygq72 They're real simple swap's if you use the old transmission's. If you with a new trans(auto) you'll need the computer for it as well. with the new auto and manuals you'll have to alter the trans tunnel and its mounts along with the drive shaft. SIMPLE= 5.7L/6.1L engine A727 trans(SB bolt pattern), junk yard computer to keep it EFI, or get the XV Carb kit. Schumacher engine mounts and bolt it up. DONE lol

  • I want to know more about fitting the 300c insturment cluster in there, has anyone seen any links to this car or another car that has done this? Want to do this to my car!

  • lol the viper transmission comes from a viper, lmao heres your sign

  • its a tremec 6060... u can find them in alot of cars

  • Very ambitious, you are to be commended, must have been a costly, time consuming build. :o

  • Gorgeous job

sound nice what is the exhaust set up?

  • Nice charger. Can i just ask where'd you get the viper transmission from? I need one urgently.

    Cheers.

  • What did she dyno test at?
