what is the chances of my epoxy melting due to the candle heat?

@shootingstar1029 The water in the engine tends to keep the engine cooler than if the engine was dry. It is important to remove the flame if the boat stops running. The epoxy does not melt, but it could burn. Adding more heat than a candle could also cause overheating problems.

@danielmaindog I did not have good results with super glue. It glues, but it does not seal well.

@2gameking2 I wish it were that easy. Despite the usefulness of duct tape, it's really not that great for making things water tight under pressure.
