@linstera2 I concur...there are rhythm drummers and there are chops drummers, and I don't know if there are many better rhythm drummers than Ringo. You can talk about your blistering drum solos and guys who defined and created sounds (ringo at least brushed that), but for my money, if I needed a steady rhythm, Ringo would be up there on the short list.

And you cant write music without lifting something, sometime, on accident, so cut George some slack. Hes not vanilla ice.

Yeah, I heard Miramax pulled out of the George Harrison documentary. Seems Martin Scorcessi got fired because it turned out to be more of a "docu-DRAMA", starring Paul Giammanni. When Paul Giammani quit, Steve Buccemi agreed to portray the moody Beatle. How sad. Even in death George can't seem to get any respect!

were about WORDS and MELODY and HARMONY.

George didn't hurt the Beatles but it can be argued that,

much like Ringo, he didn't really help. Until near the end.

Even when he went solo his biggest "hit" turned out to

anybody could have filled in for George at any time. John

and Paul's music was THAT GOOD. George just went

for a lifetime of clunky, awkward pieces. Where John

and Paul were careful to never REPEAT anything,

proved to be an embarrassment. His poor command

of lyrics is legendary. George's painful use of

"PERVERTED, ALERTED, DIVERTED, INVERTED"

in "Gently Weeps" constitute horrific poetry!
