Your flame size is set too high for the turbo lighter, if you set it a little under the highest setting, the torch would be more reliable

I prefer zippos myself, but at least hold the bic upright when you're trying to show the difference in lighting. Reminded me of those commercials of people selling knives and smashing the bread with their hands when cutting with the inferior knife.
