i think we can't see the whole picture, and i think that Sr. has changed too but due to all the stress from the show and what people expect from him... Jr. learned from Sr. and Sr. can learn a lot from Jr. as long as he's willing

@georgeellas-Editing can make right look wrong, good appear as bad and vice versa. Sure the family had problems but it certainly takes two to tango. Sr often appeared to be tough to work for but Jr appeared to have a chip on his shoulder but who knows for sure ? Sr and Jr had a different work ethic but it took both of them to make the business what it is. We only saw what the producers wanted us to see. It was entertainment and the friction between father and son was played for all it was worth

I quit watching this show because of the constant arguing between Sr. and Jr. In my opinion, this was LONG overdue. Jr. sacrificed himself by allowing Sr. to treat him like dirt. For Jr., this is good news. He needs to put his own well being first and should never again let Sr. use him to vent his anger. Sr. needs psychiatric help to deal with the underlying causes of his anger. Jr. needs to give up his fantasies and face the truth about the old man.
Mikey and Paul jr. were a big part of the show. In the business Sr. did his part and jr. did his part. Is it just me, or did things get worse after Sr. got his new wife? STAGED... From experiance I know what it's like to have a blow up in your face fight w/ your dad. My wife and kids said they could hear me yelling @ my father in the car w/ the air conditioning going, and the windows rolled up. I'm not proud of that fact, and we've sence worked it out, but these guys are doing this for the camera and the ratings. Come on, both the sons walking away from the dad one on each side for affect. I have to say after seeing that, this is staged, and fake.

I think the hardest part about watching Sr and Jr fight was watching how Mikey was stuck in the middle. The show made Mikey look like a sensitive person and I can't imagine what it would have been like.

I think parents have the best intentions for their kids, but they tend to repeat the same mistakes their parents made raising them. Paul Sr. is not a bad man, he just has too great expectations, and doesn't see the disastrous effects of how he treats his kids. This country needs both teachers and artists, and they both need to feel nurtured, and be given a certain amount of space to be productive.
Paul Jr. should start out with bikes the average man can buy. Get his name out and then build bikes for companies. He is good and in one sence he is right about most of the builds at OCC. Just look at the bike built on todays show. Yea nice paint but not as out there like the old bikes they built. The old man is the father and should talk to his boys. Be the bigger man.....

He brought business matters home, and home matters to business. Today we barely, have any relationship at all. I would have to say that this is an example of a dysfunctional family . Nothing unusual about that. My opinion is that every family is dysfunctional to some degree or another. I feel sorry for all of them. They all have failed to see the collective fruits of their labor. Now they have collectively killed the goose that laid the golden egg. Plan and simple, all these years it has been Paul Jr that has came up with the ideas, built and made the OCC name. Sure, Paul Sr started it back in its time but Paul Jr brought it to the 21st century and made it what it is today. Ok, Paul Jr slacks, takes more time off than others, so on and so on, but for over 5 years it has worked and got the job done and Paul Jr has made the deadlines and brought out greater and greater ideas. The business will not make it without Paul Jr, plain and simple.

@georgeellas-Editing can make right look wrong, good appear as bad and vice versa. Sure the family had problems but it certainly takes two to tango. Sr often appeared to be tough to work for but Jr appeared to have a chip on his shoulder but who knows for sure ? Sr and Jr had a different work ethic but it took both of them to make the business what it is. We only saw what the producers wanted us to see. It was entertainment and the friction between father and son was played for all it was worth

ok here is what the fan club has found out. occ is on the verge of filing bankruptcy. sr is suing jr again over a stolen customer. cody and pauls ex girlfriend and jr was screwed out of the bikes that was built for them. when sr.s ex girlfriend had cancer sr dumped her during that time supposibly and sold her bike for $20,000. the question is will the new show survive? if occ goes down? mikey is looking bad again. nerve pills possibly? thanks for the info fans.

I quit watching this show because of the constant arguing between Sr. and Jr. In my opinion, this was LONG overdue. Jr. sacrificed himself by allowing Sr. to treat him like dirt. For Jr., this is good news. He needs to put his own well being first and should never again let Sr. use him to vent his anger. Sr. needs psychiatric help to deal with the underlying causes of his anger. Jr. needs to give up his fantasies and face the truth about the old man.

STAGED... From experiance I know what it's like to have a blow up in your face fight w/ your dad. My wife and kids said they could hear me yelling @ my father in the car w/ the air conditioning going, and the windows rolled up. I'm not proud of that fact, and we've sence worked it out, but these guys are doing this for the camera and the ratings. Come on, both the sons walking away from the dad one on each side for affect. I have to say after seeing that, this is staged, and fake.

Sr. Built up two successful businesses and got the deal with TLC for the show.
Jr. just designed some bikes, and if he can't follow the rules that he agreed to, then he is replaceable just like everyone else. His head got to big.
It's unfortunate, but Sr. can't treat him different than any other employee because of conflict of interest.
Plus, I am sure it will get dragged out a bit because of the show itself, just to keep the drama.

I think parents have the best intentions for their kids, but they tend to repeat the same mistakes their parents made raising them. Paul Sr. is not a bad man, he just has too great expectations, and doesn't see the disastrous effects of how he treats his kids. This country needs both teachers and artists, and they both need to feel nurtured, and be given a certain amount of space to be productive.

I have followed OCC from the beginning and will say that Sr. is a bully, self center hard headed jerk and WILL not share any OCC credit to success to Mikey or Jr. It's a shame that Sr. is too blind to see he really needs mental help. Although the man has a good work ethic, his "human rights" record is just as bad as a dictator's. What I mean is he has VERY poor people skills. Hell most of his co workers can't stand him too.

I hope they have a lot of Mikey in this. I miss that clown! I was surprised to see that he had substance abuse issues, I guess being that he never found his niche in the company other than comic relief it was tough on him. He seems like a good shit so I hope he's alright. The one thing I want to know is why the fuck does it look like it's snowing or some shit? I hope Paul Jr is triumphant and shows the old man up. Sr needs to get his head out of ass and hire his boys back.

I can see both sides of the story, Sr, as a father, probably wants his son to be successful. And being from a generation that values hard-work and dedication. I can see why he gets pissed, but I think he goes overboard with it as Jr's personality doesn't respond well to the yelling and shit. Jr, on the other hand should think of what would have been possible at OCC if he WOULD'VE come in on time and not taken so much time off, but the way Sr treated him, I wouldn't stand for it either.

Yes, the show made OCC a lot more known than it was previously, hell I never heard of it until after the show came out. But Paul Sr. had money LONG before the show with Orange County Ironworks, which is now owned by Daniel, the company he founded in the 70s and was the reason he was able to make OCC.

Business & Family never mix in the long run. Sr. tried to be Strict, but JR. snubbed him all the time, never came in on time! Long lunchs, etc! Mikey thought everything should be a joke! so all the other cast Vinny, Rick, Cody etc always had to pull the slack, so those true workers could become resentful, because JR and Mikey got away with Murder and always put SR. in a Bad mood. Granted JR. is a Great Designer! but he and Mickey didn't grow up! and never knew when to stop taking advantage!

Plan and simple, all these years it has been Paul Jr that has came up with the ideas, built and made the OCC name. Sure, Paul Sr started it back in its time but Paul Jr brought it to the 21st century and made it what it is today. Ok, Paul Jr slacks, takes more time off than others, so on and so on, but for over 5 years it has worked and got the job done and Paul Jr has made the deadlines and brought out greater and greater ideas. The business will not make it without Paul Jr, plain and simple.
