GTA IV was not as good as the other gta,s. It was alright, but considering it was a next gen, all they did was improve graphics. The story was short and weak, the 100% completion was to easy, alot of features were removed and only a few more put in their place, and there were only 9 races and few sub missions. It seemed like a short repetative game. only 7 or 8 at best.
GTA 4 is my favorite game ever. and i'm not a fanboy saying ohh YEAH GTA GTA GTA. No. I'm saying the graphics i think do improve my view on video games forever. The online multiplayer with friends is great. I love how they exaggerate all of the accents too. haha i give this game a 9.5. Ok. To be fair, I think you are the people who see the glass half empty. When there is nothing to complain about, you make stuff up.
Example number 1. The cellphone.
You say, that there is nothing new in the game. The cellphone is an excelent way to call your contacts and make it feel like real life.
2. You complain that you start over in your missions. What did you expect? The great thing about this game is you have taxis, and a text message which allows for quick restart of the mission.
i would say it deserves a 9 out of 10 because even tho i agree that the phone calls from ppl are annoying you got to admit its a beautiful game the missions are much more action packed and i think the story was pretty good with the few unexpecting twist and turns on top of that the multiplayer is pretty fun
but the driving is annoying at times it seems like the e-brake is to insane i hit a damn 180 everytime i hit it

Also in addition to that, you meet some really cool characters, witness betrayals, etc. You pretty much choose your ending by the last mission, and either way, you'll actually feel bad about the outcome. As you progress, you'll feel more and more attatched to Niko as a character. Just get past the chase missions, and cell phone stuff, and you'll find yourself enjoying the game tons more.
Well even in the beginning of the game, you find out that Niko is not a russian. I could tell from the beginning because I speak russian. Niko is Czech. It doesn't seem like you got very far into the game, checking your Achievements, but I'd say that Roman's sorrow is about 2/5th through the game. I will agree, the beginning of the game has Niko catch up on all the functions and features of the game, but as you progress through it, you have to make some crucial decisions on who lives and dies.

The funny thing is since I played GTAIV I have always said that it was not worth a 10 more like an 8.5 and also I think my favorite GTA is III because I know how you said this is an updated version of III but to me it a downgrade. It just seems like they gave III better graphics but took away a lot of things that I liked in the process.
I completly agree. When IGN and Game Informer Give this game a 10/10, when it is honestly an updated polished up version of 3, with some features taken out, an a more boring story (not saying the story is terrible, it's just a little repeditive, and the old ones kept the game fresh, this one seems like it kinda drags it out) and a great engine, that doesn't make a game 10/10 material. 10/10 is something like Mario 3, Zelda Ocarina of Time, Mario 64, Resident Evil 4 and Final Fantasy 7.

Good review, and to me i thought the story mode was damn good, yea it's alittle slow at the beining but it does get better but i do have to say the ended felt like it was rushed. And at first i didnt like the online but once i played it more i started to like it "but not with the asshole's on mic lol" anyway good review, but me i would give it a 9.0 or 9.5 oh and IGN is a bunch of morons for giving this game a 10 lol.

Nice review guys! I was kind of dissapointed with the game as well, but it's still pretty damn fun. Vice city is still my favorite in the series.

When IGN and Game Informer Give this game a 10/10, when it is honestly an updated polished up version of 3, with some features taken out, an a more boring story (not saying the story is terrible, it's just a little repeditive, and the old ones kept the game fresh, this one seems like it kinda drags it out) and a great engine, that doesn't make a game 10/10 material. 10/10 is something like Mario 3, Zelda Ocarina of Time, Mario 64, Resident Evil 4 and Final Fantasy 7.

i agree with the GTA series they are good and you can pick it up and blow the hell out of stuff 4 fun but the story takes 4 ever to get going and it just feels the same as any other GtA but withe better graphics and differnt missions

Good review, and to me i thought the story mode was damn good, yea it's alittle slow at the beining but it does get better but i do have to say the ended felt like it was rushed. And at first i didnt like the online but once i played it more i started to like it "but not with the asshole's on mic lol" anyway good review, but me i would give it a 9.0 or 9.5 oh and IGN is a bunch of morons for giving this game a 10 lol.
