This is a simple case of 1) not being consistent w/ the child's schedule, 2) not being consistent w/ his rules, 3) not putting him to bed early - as well as 1 hour naps daily, and 4) cold hinie-itis. There's a reason people have buttocks. If a parent is diligent about numbers 1-3, you rarely need to warm said hinie. These are the folks on TV when the kid's done something horrendous saying, "not my child". Do the work up & and it won't be 'your child'. Imagine him @ 16. Oh joy.

Alt: You can put them in a boring room and lock them in (Assuming that you have a peep hole for checking up on them) and give them a treat when they apologize. Spanking makes them scared to do the wrong thing but if you reward them for good behavior it influences them to be good.

ive found out the hard way to just let them throw the tantrums. if they are in a safe place where they cant get hurt it is better for them to throw it then for you to give in to it. because if you give in to it they learn that they can throw it to get what they want. i have four younger sibs and i used to work at a day care and it is how we did it.

Babies at about 10 months start to throw tantrums if they do not get what they want. They are not hurt either physically or mentally and if you keep picking them up they are being rewarded for throwing the tantrum. The sooner you can have them realise the tantrum will not get them what they want without hitting or yellign the better. If you do not a 2 year old or older throws tantrums far far worse.

She is not tired, she is not neglected. She was told no to something I don't even recall. She was a very intense, difficult child. She is actually now a much better behaved 2 year old.

I spank my children too, I love it when people come up to me and say they are gonna report me for abuse.
I always tell them, "do you have children" if they say no, my reply is "then wait til you have children and then come back to me."

Some people can't stand to see babies hurt. Some do but belting is considered negative training and makes them scared to do the wrong thing. But not do good things. Ex: You spank your child when then hit their brother.
Alt: You can put them in a boring room and lock them in (Assuming that you have a peep hole for checking up on them) and give them a treat when they apologize. Spanking makes them scared to do the wrong thing but if you reward them for good behavior it influences them to be good.

You want the child to WANT to do the RIGHT thing. If that is established then it eliminates the bad behavior because they know they won't get rewarded. I would rather ground a child that spank them with a belt.

I actually was given a slight clip in the mouth once by my father and after that I never talked back to him. And because he sat me down after to explain why he did that, I knew it wasn't abuse. Giving a child a tap isn't abuse, but the minute you hit them harshly for no apparent reason it is. So spare me your overly liberal bullshit. Discipline and abuse are two VERY different things.

ive found out the hard way to just let them throw the tantrums. if they are in a safe place where they cant get hurt it is better for them to throw it then for you to give in to it. because if you give in to it they learn that they can throw it to get what they want. i have four younger sibs and i used to work at a day care and it is how we did it.

Babies at about 10 months start to throw tantrums if they do not get what they want. They are not hurt either physically or mentally and if you keep picking them up they are being rewarded for throwing the tantrum. The sooner you can have them realise the tantrum will not get them what they want without hitting or yellign the better. If you do not a 2 year old or older throws tantrums far far worse.

Holy crap!! I never would have thought so many people would comment on this video!! For what it's worth my daughter would have tantrums like this multiple times a day. She is not tired, she is not neglected. She was told no to something I don't even recall. She was a very intense, difficult child. She is actually now a much better behaved 2 year old.
