No no...the machine allows the muscle fibres to relax allowing them to be stretched further. Its kinda like doing a warm-up without the warm-up...if that makes any sense. The best way i can explain it is, your fibres are like cold taffy, if you stretch them they'll snap. But if you warm it up, it can be stretched. That's what the machine does, warms it up.
