Mike ness, is the definition of a sellout. If you do not agree you are not a punker. You are deaf ,blind, or mentaly challenged. Or you havent heard his music after mommys little monster . To him and every other that got rich, spread the wealth with those that got you started and redeem yourselves or eat shit and die you bourgeois scum
@BinTHEWOODS666 Thats the stupidest shit i've ever read. You say he sold out but didnt explain why first of all and second of all, why the fuck should mike ness share his money? haha thats sooo dumb. The money that HE made, he should share with other people that had nothing to do with HIS music?
ahhh i was born in the wrong time im 18 and i know i should have been there but now that its our time our generation we need to combine powers and create our own movement. f*ck the government and their bureaucratic bull sh*t.
Is this movie/documentary free to download ? is there any greedy company that has the copyrights ? This is about kids making music for other kids. This movie is about suffering, fighting, keeping your head above the water. This movie is about possitive thoughts and positive energy. This movie is about Hardcore and punkrock. This movie is about you, and me. So, does anybody know, if this movie is free to download , simply said: are there any copyrights about ?
@RichardCyberPunk This was made by people that weren't involved with the punk scene and they had obvious expenses while making this film so I would say it is copyrighted.
i cant put into words how inspirational this is because me and my friends just formed a band. everyone that has loved or every loved punk rock should watch this
It seems like a nice pad to go back to anyway. Whose is it? The place looks a lot better than my old apartment I had last year and I'm not an early 80s punk rocker living off the cuff lol, of course the mess was mostly my roommate's fault...
im checking it out to get pumped for the S D tour 2010,, it starts at the CHANCE in poughkeepsie NY AND im hoping to get their new album ( YAY ) they are still killin it are at the top of their game !!!!! 07-27-2010............don't miss it !
I've gotta agree, this movie has inspired me like several other folks on here. Just reinforces my belief that life isn't about working or getting, it's about what you can do.
thanks for putting this up it really put into perspective what ive been relating to for the last couple years im no where near what it used to be back then but its kinda sad that theres 5388 views and its not gonna rise fast but millions of people will watch and accept what there told by people who have no idea what there doing
Great Fuckin movie. Haven't seen it since I was a kid. Just saw Youth Brigade last weekend at Riot Fest. Another movie to check out is "Let Them Know". It is the story of BYO, a look back at that whole scene. They even get that guy slammin' by himself to do it again. Highly recommended if you like this movie.
I agree with you dude, it has inspired me as well. It's like if you ever have some kind of goal that you want to accomplish but you think it's too difficult, you can always look back at these guys and see their ambition, and get a little confidence.
i never got into the whole punk thing was into metal.,but ive been a social distortion fan for years. mikes solo stuff kicks ass too. was cool to see them in the early years.too bad the rest of his band left and didnt finnish the tour. i do think they all learned somthing from it though. lifes a bitch! . the goth chick, got her look from the rocky horror picture show. thanks for posting it.
Thanks for uploading this! I haven't seen it in twenty years. This might be be the best punk documentary of the 1980s. I think it's better than Decline of Western Civ, at least in some ways. Interesting how Decline shows the transition from Hollywood punk to suburban hardcore in 1979-1980 and this film, shot barely two years later, shows how strongly suburban hardcore had taken over. Also, Decline has a sensationalist agenda, ASoM seems more interested in allowing punks to speak for themselves.
yea.. great. movie!there are too many people on the world.too many bands and that kind of stuff.
the world is overload.and lots of influence about that is the technic of medizine.i wouldnt say that medicine is crap it helps people what is very great but u know maybe what i´m trying to say.
The people are animals but all about the family, job, church everything wired the people and they just forget to hunt.
thanks for uploading! that movie's great. // do you have the commentary by Mike Ness? I'd love to know what Mike's got to say about the movie 20 years later
@Einkaufstuete The commentary is actually pretty disappointing. Mike talks about how due to the heroin and all that he can't really remember too much of anything about the tour. At one point he even incorrectly says that Brent Liles was the drummer.
THanl\ks for the movie...feel free to check my band out,,,,
