  • thnq !

  • polar co-ordinates in triple integrals of surfaces in and projections in my exam tomo...fuuuuuuuuuuu

  • i absolutely love Khan but people, please, its getting tiresome that the top comment on every video is an insult to someone else, like your teacher

  • That's one bad ass calculator.

  • 3 4 5 right triangle

  • I wish my teachers explained calculus this clearly...

  • you are totally awesome! :) thanks man! :)

  • ...and i'm going to do it in magenta. :P

  • What program do you use?

  • when are you getting your nobel prize?

  • Thanks Sal

  • this is where i wish you can fast forward youtube videos to watch at 2x speed or something... [not skip, but just play faster w/ sound]

  • teachers need to learn from him how to teach better

  • Im a teacher and yes I have learnt so much from his videos

  • Anyone know where that TI-85 emulator program that Sal uses at 6:00 can be obtained?

  • Nobel Prize for You!

  • @AmaymonF

He deserves it more than obama!

Ive not seen such good innocent intentions towards the public EVER! No religious figure has ever helped out people in this manor.

Sal > Jesus (or insert other imaginary religious icons)

  • Every teacher I have ever had taught math wrong. Thanks you very much for finally teaching things to me the proper way, so that I can actually solve problems.

On a side note, why does every single math teacher I have ever met or learned from teach false math? Why do they not show us how to do the actual work, why do they ensure we will fail?

  • Excellent !

  • Watching this video is WAY easier than sitting on a room listening to a professor's lecture.

  • Am i the only one who likes to do homework naked??

    just wondering

  • @bevon17 Your teacher must be hot. My Cal 2 instructor had me horny when I did Cal.

  • @paulsimage

lol i think its because it was summer break and hot as hell in the house

i forgot how nice it was to be naked and do homework... its starting to get cold here

  • where did arctan and in the prev. video arccos come from. i dont know how to deal with that. i dont mean to complain, but i've seen all the prev. videos and they came out like ninjas.

  • Thanks so much. Your video's are saving my life right now.♥ :)

  • this is all very good but WHERE WILL YOU SPEND YOUR LONG ETERNITY? HE, GOD SAYS, " I WISDOM SEARCH OUT WITTY INVENTIONS"

  • thank you so much you just saved my life..that trig test was gonna murder me.

  • I am in Precalculus and we're talking about this stuff!!! AH! Math in college is more difficult than the same level in high school tho. Don't really know why that is... ANYWAY SAL IM GLAD YOU HAVE ALL THIS FANCY NEW EQUIPTMENT I AM SO GLAD YOU ARE DOING WHAT YOU DO!!! THANKKKK YOOOOUUU!!!! I always *try* to watch your videos before we cover those topics in my math class, and it helps make my life easier!!!!!

  • thank you again, sal!

  • Khan no one but one million thanks.

Very useful, great and easy to understand.

Khan God bless you life, your job, your family and your person.

    Thanks.

  • hey very cool

  • im in precalc honors and we are doing this. if this is actually calc im gonna be pissed

  • RashTG you're nuts, this is boilerplate trig, which is taught as precalc II in most places

  • NO. This is a very good example of Polar coordinates. I just love it.... It's not Cal III. Cal 3 somehow is kinda easy. this is Cal 2. You gonna do it if you are in engineering or CIS....You need to avoid calculator if you want the answer in xPi over y where y can be any constant except 0. Good luck hahaaha....

  • im learnin this and im in precalc

  • wrong. You cannot do this in Precal. the teacher cannot even do a complex problem of this. I know what im talkin abt. This is Cal 2 buddy

  • so why am i doing it then? my teacher must be fuckin crazy

  • @RASHTG actually it just depends on the school. I am in precalculus and we are covering this topic. Every math book is different buddy!!! Anyway, WHO CARES??? ITS MATH ITS ALL RELATED!!!

  • @virginialikesyou Ok. I can't know that. I never did precalculus. I started math with Calculus 1 and Im taking higher level math ....so I don't know, buddy.. :) :)

  • @virginialikesyou That's completely untrue. Calculus is a sub-branch of mathematical Analysis. It's very different from number theory which is very different from differential geometry and so on... I'm currently taking 3 completely different math classes concurrently and none of the material overlaps... Also, I didn't learn Polar coordinates until Calculus 3, go figure.

  • @RASHTG

Ummmm no, your wrong. I'm in Trigonometry at Valencia Community College and this is what is covered in the last chapter. I assume you'd claim that finding the resultant/distance of Vectors is also only in Calc 1 or 2. Wrong. That's the chapter before the converting polar stuff. Maybe you just went through the "Special Ed" Cal series... Poor guy.

  • @goat1221 Haha. Okay. I did not go to high school in US so I don't know. As I said earlier, I never took Precalculus or trig or anything like that. They put me in cal after my placement test. Education is different everywhere. In my country, we covered a little bit of everything ( trig, CAL1, 2, 3, Differential Equation). That gives me a very strong base in math. Sorry, I'm not a poor guy. I'm a happy one. I'm in the top 3 in my university so yeah...

  • @RASHTG

    nobody cares man

  • @KHAAAAAAAAN okay dude

  • You rock Sal! Your vids are soo much better than the other fakes *cough* mindbites. *cough*.

You are THE YOUTUBE CALCULUS TEACHER!!

    more vids plz!

  • yeah. He explains it in a very easy way. I know what it is and I can tell he knew what he was doing. Good Job

  • @SpawnZer0 mindbites bites

  • wow thats a light calculater. thanks I finally get it.

  • i think thats a ti 85 emulator if i'm not mistaken

  • how do u get that ti 85 on a computer, i use my calc so much i keep replacing the batteries. it would be nice to have it on my computer.

if u happen to know, please let me know.

    with thanks

  • so fukin easy survey coodinaes are simular but whit ruler and millimeter are inc so coordenats usually start Y:20,000 X:50,000 n y is up n there are minutes ,seconds on ghones so mind blowin

  • I believe you touch on polar in calc 3 if I'm not mistaken. Every school teaches it differently, who knows.

  • hey sal is polar coordinates in calculus 2 because i don't see anything on polar coordinates in my calculus book

  • It depends on which calculus course you taking

  • I dont know what calculus 2 is, but if you take single variable course you will take polar coordinates
