  • well I recognised quite a few of those photos and horses - to name but a couple, you've got Balla Chrystal, Earnshaw Ideal (I used to be his groom!), and Walton Supreme :) Check out ukshires.net too :)

  • Great pix, lousy music.

  • Amazing horses! I'm love so much Shires!

  • i love this video!!!! :)

  • i am getting a shire in 2 days.!!!

  • beautiful shires!

  • I WANT A SHIRE!!!!!

  • lol why does this sound like porno music?

  • I wonder if they are so mellow is because they are aware of their own mass and power. A human, 1 on 1 could stand no chance against such power. I do stand in awe of these animals.

  • @JustMeOrMaybeNot I work with draft horses almost every day, and one of the funny things about them is that They have no idea just how strong They are,

  • 0:21 aww, so cute<3 So as 1:11 love u shire horses=)

  • i like the horses in this x

  • mooie shires echt prachtig.

mijn taal is nederlands dus ja weet niet of je de taal kent.

ik wil der zelf ook een maar moet eerst kijken of ik het kan betalen ach ja lave the shires.

  • How beautiful! Loved your video! I've always wondered what their temperaments were like, since they're so big and all. It's nice to know they're mellow! lol

  • 0:49 OH LORD HE'S BIG!!!

  • there beautifle honest horses my mum used to ride drive and show shires and they were amazing

  • Does somebody tell me what`s the name of that song? Thanks...

  • Beautiful video--thanks for posting. I just noticed an uncanny face resemblance to face profiles of old style Tennessee Walking Horses. Although Tennessee walking horses don't claim to carry draft horse blood, I often wonder when I look at my 17h TWH mare. I've seen a few other TWH reach that height, as well.

  • Yes, really really good :)

  • And I thought the horse I ride at my lessons was big......

  • Wow! I would love to have one!

  • wow thats one hell os a horse

  • i love the pic at 1:27 that horse is gorgeous!!

  • They're so pretty! My husband wants a Shire, but we already have a Clyde and all I can see are 4 more fluffy white feet to keep mud and burr free, and brushed out.

  • haha

  • haha

  • Beautiful Horses!!!! I like that music too! Wish I knew who that was........

  • I would die to have a shire. They are so beautiful.

  • I would never dare to ride them,, their to big.. o.O

  • Hehe, my dream is to ride one :]

  • Oh, thank you so much for posting this. I love the Shire at 5:12 that's rolling around, lol. Does anyone know the name and/or the artist of this song? I love it! : D

  • The Shire we have at this Equdae I work for is just the most loving horse I've ever come across. I have somewhat long hair and he loves to chew on it, lol. If you stand by his head he'll turn into you and 'hug' you.

  • As always, the Shire and Clydes are gorgeous animals. :)

  • now that's a proper horse if I've ever seen any

  • Some of these horses are intimidatingly BIG!!!! people have a lot of guts to get on these horses!!!!Its a good thing they're gentle i mean OMG!!!!

  • i have got a shire his names hamish he is much bigger than all of them

  • :O! How tall is your shire?... I absolutely love shires :)

  • 2:36 is a giant.

  • These horses are amazing :)

  • i love the mucles on the horse at

    1:21

  • I am interested in buying such a horse. Anyone got a clue or help?

  • Yep. Money. They eat twice as much, poo like an elephant and if they tread on your feet you will be hurt. My experience anyway.

  • ok thank you

    me french ^^

    exuse me french ^^

  • it's not my horse all the pics are from google and i own nothing.

    i am dutch

    i like it!!

    <3

  • Thanks

  • When I need my shire horse fix I come here, thanks for the sharing, only trouble is the tears come fast and furious, , at their beauty and also at my lack of them in my life. God bless to those who love and honour these wonderful creatures.

  • aaww thanks so much

  • I love all horses with feathering around thier feet, it's so cool. Shires are one of those horses that you don't make the mistake of putting your foot under thiers more than once.

Since Youtube changed the audio, I won't say anything about it. Nice collection of pics though.

  • Found a great song applicable to this "Heavy Horses" by Robin Laing (not the Jethro Tull one)

  • ok;)

  • i love dis vidio i love all the sires!

  • Oh man i LOOOOVVVVE the colouring of the ones at 0.11, 0.21, 0.27, 3.16, 3.27, 3.37, and 5.07.

    Cool stances at 0.49, 2.02, 2.27, 3.22.

But why is the one at 4.19 so SKINNY???

Awesome how the white feathers seem to be ablaze at 5.30-39!!

  • they r beautyful :D

  • very nice pictures, but absolutly gay sound.. sorry.... but a nice movie sound would bring the pictures much more enthusiasm.

  • I KNOW! you're absolutly right! i had an other song first, but youtube let me change it because of that stupid copyright ! i am going to change it ! youre right

  • 3:01 is sooo cute!

  • You're right! just like 3:26

  • You got the title spot on - they really are the gentle giants of the horse world.

  • someday I want to own a shire they're so special :P

  • That horse at 4:46 its mine! :D

  • Nee, dat geeft niks! Ik vind het niet erg! Leuk juist!

  • The horse at 3:56 is my horse! :-) Who made this video?

  • i made the video and i am so so sorry all the pictures are from google so...

  • wow! those are the most beautiful horses i ever seen in my entire life. I never seen horses that big. Do they live a long time?

  • Jakie piękne konie:)

  • This video is great, people assume horses so big to be dangerous, my 17.2hh shire cross is often ridden by a 4 year old girl! :) x

  • OMG shire horses r so cute!

    i luv dem! <3

    whoop whoop!

    from every1 in P7/7

  • hello and greetings from Austria. I like your videos very well, we also have horses Shirer. our joe 18.5 hh. if you like, look at oaklandshirer. we also have horses for sale, please can you send me a mail.

  • Is the sabino horse in the fifth picture a full shire?? I swear he is the twin to my horse which is a draft mutt, but I have been thinking he had clydesadale or shire in him, to be the color he is. This is the first horse I have found that even comes close to looking like my horse and he looks exactly like him. I love all the pics!!

  • yes, that's a Shire

  • I LOVE the horse on 0:21. He(?) is just absolutly GORGEOUS!!!

  • sorry 2 DarcieHalleeButters.....didnt see ur post til i put mine in.....u know ur equines very well.....17 - 19 hh and 1700 - 2400 lbs.....

  • they actually weigh around 2 tons and are 19 hands high.....beautiful horses =)

  • what a great video!!!!

  • i love the braided tail on 0:28

  • WOAH!!

check out the horse on 0:46

    MASSIVE!!

  • man he is hugez!

  • and gorgeous! but the lady looks smalll ishh. but no doubt that would be a fun [but terrifying] ride!

  • 0:18 how big is that horse like?

  • hes probly around 1 ton. 18 hh

  • Can Shire horses galoppe long? Don't think they would hold on long. But they're beautiful.

    x^^

  • fab video. gorgeous horses:)

  • I vault on a shireXsaddlebread he's like a giant slobbery shetland. He's so cute^^

    I love draft breeds.

  • I own 3 shires. Freddy is my stallion. Maggie is one mare and Forty one is our other mare. (they are my family's)

  • wow youre lucky!

    i love shires !

my grandma says: as you ever buy a horse later, you buy a shire !

  • Isn't it a lot of work and money to own horses? I like horses, but I shouldn't get one in the near future cause of all the responsibility, I'm used to rodents and dog pets

  • Thats a very sensible outlook to have, yes it is alot of hard work and money! I have 5 horses and I see to them 365 days a year, Christmas Day I get up and muck out, feed and groom before making a start on the dinner!! Too many people just go ahead and buy a horse without really thinking about it, so well done you for stopping and actualy thinking about it!

  • And aren't you supposed to have some insurance on a horse? I don't think I shuold have a horse on my own at least, you have to hire a farrier just to work on their feet

  • Yes it's vital that you at least have insurance against vets bills, one pony I used to look after got kicked badly and at the end of his treatment the bill was almost £4000. If he wasn't insured he would of had to of been put down. Farrier's don't come cheap now either!! I pay £50 for a set of shoes and they last just under 4 weeks, but every horse is different. As the age old saying goes, No hoof, no horse! I would urge anyone who is thinking of buying a horse to think very carefully!! :)

  • What's easier to train in your opinion, a horse or a dog? Considering ones a prey animal and the other's a predator

  • I've trained many horses but never a dog so I wouldn't know how to answer that really! I guess again it depends on the breed and temperament of the animal. I know some dogs are more crazy than others and the same goes for horses! For example, it took me 2 weeks to break in a horse for riding once, and another horse took nearly 10!

  • Ugh, try training an adult hound to be quiet

  • Ah hehe! Your on your own with that one!!!

  • I wish clydes and shires didn't come in the same colors, it's getting hard for me to tell the difference

  • Horse = expensive investment that burns a lot of hay.

  • Horse = unprocessed dog food

  • Oh yeah, that too. Oh, and don't forget glue as well. Lol.

  • thats so cruel!!

    horses are beautiful living creatures.

its wrong for you to think such horrible things about such a wonderful animal

  • Horse=love.understanding.responsibility.laughs.30-40yearfriend

  • i love these horse they are bloody gorgeous i want 1 a brown 1 il get 1 day and love it for ever

  • Shires are beautiful horses and so gentle to humans. I had a shire and he was like a 1400kg kitten. I promise you that if he could he would sit in my lap =)Luckily he didn´t try.

I´m a really petite girl and always feel really small but when I galoping on the countryroads with my "kitten" I feel like the king of the world. Respect =D

  • never knew clydesdales were called by another name around the world... wonder where the name "clydesdale" came from?

beautiful horses! thanks for the upload!

  • this are shires not clydesdales

  • oh. sorry. they look exactly like them. lol

    my bad. :-p

  • haha LOL

  • They both come in the same colors, but the best way to tell the difference is the snouts. Shires have the roman nose or snouts shaped like tucan beaks :-)

  • oh, okay, thank you for the info! :)

  • It was only 40 years ago that the milks carts were still pulled by these amazing creatures. I think we will be needing their help again as the oil runs out.

  • So beautiful.

  • My gosh they are gorgous horses. I have a clydesdale she is 17 hands.

  • yeah clydesdales are beautiful!

  • how gentle are clydesdale's? are they realy the gentle giants of legend?

  • I love clydesdale's too!

  • i love shires i wish i had one.

  • oowk al so moooooooooi <3
