Strangely, this ending is incoherent with Crash 2 storyline, because in this ending, Crash never defeat Cortex, and the Crash 2 intro show the contrary.

I have never gotten this ending and I never want to. this ending is horrible, and it's a waste of your time to get all the gems. Besides it's stupid how u need to gem from the lab, the last level, to get a gem from the great gate, the 3rd level!!!! In the non 100% ending it leads right into Crash 2! That's y IMO this game is not as good as everybody says. I give **3/4 out 5 because this terrible ending & the way u get some gems.

BTW, u can beat the game without beating Cortex and that should make a time paradox( in crash 2 cortex falls and discovers cristals, the center of every crash aventure since then). and tawna is so blonde ( dumb and hot).

What happens if you go to the teleporter at the start of the great hall?

MightySuomi - That's the original end of the level. You need to find all of the gems and keys in the game to go through the whole Great Hall (each gem forms part of the bridge, which is pretty neat), which is the alternative ending. If you just want to beat the game without going back and getting the gems, and just want to fight Cortex, you would use the first exit.
