i drive the same thing in Australia great tractor we use her for offsetting and all types of implements great tractor especially with the straight pipe
Have you noticed if the tractor starts easier since you've turned up the pump? We have a 2705 (the 3545 replaced the 2705) and it's always been a bastard to start if it's a little chilly. We don't dare park it an extension cords lenght from a plug in.
How did you get at that pain in the ass wheel inside the injector pump to turn it up? On my fergie it has that small access hole but the wheel has like a star shaped bolt(2x) Do you undo the bolts and turn the wheel out then replace them? Like the sound of yours man it must pull!
Although we haven't hooked it up to pull anything heavy yet, I did notice the ease of taking off now. Before you could start in 4th gear high, but you had to get it going slowly or else you could stall it. Now I put it in 4th gear high, let out the clutch, hit the throttle, and it just takes off without any struggling. Will be interesting to see how much better it pulls. Thank you for the source of information on how to do this :)
sounds kinda doggy. you should put the govenor spring in the top slot. it will make it more responsive

I know someone that has this motor in there 78/79 ford pickup bolted to a C6. I heard these make good pickup motors and they fit real nicely.

It needs another turn of the fuel!

I need to get the boost up before I turn up my fuel more. So I'm going to need a different turbocharger. But it's on the to do list.
chevyinlinesix 2 years ago
The booost generally goes up when you do the fuel. But....if it's that smokey, then it probably would need a better turbo before adding more to it.

Yeah, this one has a generous amount of shaft play... grrr
