There is nothing wrong with making songs concerning Anime or Manga relevance, I made a few songs about certain Characters and I play Black Metal and they mean alot. Maybe you shouldn't hang on what the songs are about and feel the power behind the song itself and the true feelings.

What is non meaningful about anime? What is meaningful for you then? A song or a musical piece finds source of inspiration in any story or event in the author's life. Anime is just one of many ways to tell stories, so I find it very significant and plenty of recognition.
