Unless you don't believe in Jesus or the bible. Cryonics is about saving the gift of life and just like the practice of medicine it is not forbidden by any religious or humanitarian ideology. In fact is encouraged and welcomed as a good thing to do.

@krisish00d The future is specifically unpredictable but some trends are very predictable and they point to huge technological procress...and I can provide you with specific evidence if you want. Other wise there is 2 schools of thought optimism or pessimism...is the glass half full or half empty? Cryonisists are optimists and it shows in their lives..many are hugely successful in business, science, and medicine. They are not affraid of nuclear war or any other percieved threats.

@krisish00d BTW the end of the world doomsday scenarios that scare and shock people are a recurring theme that has been documented over thousands of years. Since the beginning of time people have been predicting the end is around the corner on average about ever 15 yrs. Remeber Y2K and the alignement of planets in 1982.Nuclear war has been going strong for 60 yrs+ Global warming is the latest fad, in the 70's it was global cooling. History repeats itself. If it ends then it doesnt matter anyhow

I wanna donate myself to science. I think it'd be way easier to freeze someone then thaw them out a thousand years from now than to freeze a dead person and bring them back to life. its probably really simple. does neone know someone at alcor so i could get the hook up.

Its not just on tv its in medical journals...In fact, I work in emergency medicine and have been involved with patients who were so cold that they were considered clinically dead no heart beat, no brain waves. Yet they were revived to fully. There is a common saying in emergency medicine..."you are not dead until you are warm and dead" google frozen toddler survives with only frost bite. Thats with todays medical technology.

not quite right the cells dont explode they are pierced by ice crystals in the interstitial tissues. But this is avoided during cryonics because of vitrification (slow cooling and glyceral based bio-antifreezes) and it is predicted that molecular nanotechnology in the future will save all cellular structure. the predictions are based on moores law and other technological trends.

To catwiskas. Thanks for asking... Um I have no idea what they cant freeze you with. However, My contract says that if you either live too far away when you die, Die in a case where your brain matter isnt intact, or you are SEVERELY dismembered or something. Depending on when you die, Someone has to come get you and put you on Ice right away. I live in Florida, So if I live til Im old, Ill move to AZ so Im close. But Worries me that I live 2,000 away :-(

i think its abou 180,000 for a full body freeze and about 75,000 just for the head.

the also have payment plans. theres possibilities around financial problems. lets just say that the younger you sign up the better chances you have for a spot in the deep freeze.

If the technology for bringing people back was here now then there would be no need for cryonics since we would have complete biological control and repair of cells..Death would be rare..under these circumstances..thats the point to take the patient to the future were this stuff is possible...but there is some evidence today that it will work tomarrow..ie frozen embryos and artic frogs that are alive and well after freezing right now!
