  • How long do u got to wear braces

  • Wow!!! Dude that's crazy...I have an overbite, and need to get the same surgery done as well. I have braces right now and got quoted 15 to 20 k for the surgery. What was the cost for your surgery???

  • Thank you so much for posting this. I just started my journey. Got my braces yesterday, they'll be on for about a year, then double jaw surgery, then braces for another year. I've been terrified, but it's good to see/hear that the pain isn't that bad. Seems like it goes pretty smoothly, as long as you take care of yourself. I can't get over how different you look. Congrats!

  • I just had double surgery and thus guy was extremely helpful. He answered all of my question and answered all of my questions.. My surgery, for the most part, went well. Thanks to this guy, I was prepared for all of the unpleasantness.

  • why your voice Changed? It´s from the cirurgy?

  • :) you look so nice nowww!

  • @lilredhead Only for the first few weeks after surgery. It's best to get walking again right away. 2 years later, I'm sure I could dance and figure skate (if I knew how) without breaking anything. It's like taking a small square out of a big piece of bread, that will eventually fill back in. Give it time and you'll be fine.

  • @sicnor553 hahaha i totally forgot i commented on this for the longest time! lol well if your curious my surgery went fine and although i probably should have waited longer i went right back into it (well not right back it was a little more gradual :P) after a month. definitely not the easiest thing to do let me tell you,it was one hell of a time. my hip still hurts every once in a while and cramps up a little

  • Did your hip hurt a lot? i have to get the same surgery done at the end of the month. Im a dancer and a figure skating and im just wondering if thats going to affect it a lot.

  • Happy for you dude! Looks great!!!

  • Can you hear yourself different now........?

  • Hip bone graft? Did they get the graft from your own hip?

  • how old were you when you had surgery

  • do u have any before and now picutre?

  • looks great man!

  • Do the plates get removed after the recovery? Because that was one of my main worries. Not sure why :S Looks great by the way! :)

  • @SparrowJack789 No - the plates remain in your face for the rest of your life, unless, somewhere down the road, they start picking up alien transmissions. Well, by then, the government will likely be tracking you down and strapping you to a recording device. By then all I can say is best of luck to you, sir.

  • HOLY SHIT your lookin hotter <3

  • pssht. he was hot to begin with idk what ur talking about

  • looks good!! congrats on your results!!!

  • Comment removed

  • OMG. YOU LOOK GREAT!!! I'm glad the surgery went so good for you! Hope it does well for me too!

  • wow ur really good looking now! im so exited for mine! thanks for posting this.

  • Nice video; i just got back from the hospital; the surgery went fine. How long did you not eat solid food? I have nt eaten for like 4 days now.

  • Dude awesome video. I wish I could do the same thing but I don't have a gut to do.

Very encouraging man. I belive you have helped a lot of people with only this video.

    Take care man.

  • you look amazing!!!!

  • WoW man that made a world of difference you dont even look like the same person, well glad everythings turned out the way you want and really informative video set have a good one

  • sexyyy lol

  • god, how i envy you,, anyway... I'm very unlucky that I don't have that money for the surgery, i just want to die ryt now,, life is hell and i'm good as dead anyway

  • dude alot of insurances cover the surgery. mine just got approved and they are covering it 100 percent, look into it man you can get it.

  • What insurance do you have that covers 100% ??

  • @theilokana i think my dad had delta dental.

  • I have that too, what did you tell them to get it coverred fully? I might have some trouble with getting them to cover it even though I experience some pain in my jaw. Did u have head aches and trouble sleeping etc... Thanks a lot for answering.

  • omg!! you look fantastic how long did you have to wear your braces before the op?? congrats it was a huge success!! xx

  • more amazing than michael jacksons transformation xD

  • wow - amazing transformation! i'm 18 and b/c i didn't wear the retainers and crap i was supposed to when i was young, i now have an underbite. i hate it sooo much! i've talked to my dentist about getting this surgery done and i've considered it but i don't know.. how old were you when you got yours done? and do you have any problems with your jaw now? i've heard from ppl who've had this done that their jaw is never the same/they have issues with it. letmeknow?

you look great, by the way! ;)

  • Wow! Amazing transformation....thank you so much!!

  • im fairly young haha.. yes.. im turning 13 soon but my orthodontist say that i cannot do my surgery until i am 17 or 18.. and i can't wait until the day.. but im afraid f the pain. i have heard that the swelling and bruises are pretty bad

    can anyone help?

  • ha, I'm about to be 16 and I'm having it this month on the 20th.

  • Hi Ben. Thank you for your vid-log. I recently had surgery on my lower and upper jaws to correct a severe underbite problem. Your documented journey helped me to decide and reassured me that, at the age of 62, this procedure would be worthwhile. Thank you again

  • Thank you

  • no problem

  • what kind of surgery you had? upper or lower? or both?

  • upper only with a hip bone graft

  • Thank you for these videos! I am getting lower and upper jaw surgery next month and its nice to have someone show what the whole process looks like. My jaw wont look nearly as different as yours does post-op because they are really only doing small adjustments but its nice to see what im in for! You look great by the way!

  • Hey im about to get Surgery next year when im 15 because aparently my bottem jaw can still grow, may i ask after youve had Surgery do you have to wear braces because my dentist told me my bottem jaw has grown out so much there is no need for braces 5mm out. would be great if you could reply thanks

  • Yes, you need braces after the surgery.

    treatment is (roughly) as follows:

    1 year of braces, then

    surgery, then

    1 more year of braces

1 year = could actually be anywhere from 3 months to 2 years.

  • hey im about to get Surgery next year when im 15 because my bottem jaw may grow some more apparently, may i ask after youve had Surgery do you have to wear braces?

  • did the surgons put like sleeping powder or somthing to make you sleep during the surgery? how did it feel like?

  • Sleeping powder? It's called anesthesia. Do some research. Basically, it is a liquid medication that is inserted by I.V. You are asleep the entire time.

  • wow your goodlooking!

  • wow; looks amazing! I had surgery on my lower jaw (and a genioplasty - my chin) for my underbite 31 days ago and am really happy with the results so far, just wish this swelling would go away! How long were you in braces after?!

  • Haha, thank you. That's been one of my main questions for awhile.

  • I'm getting this surgery in this summer. I was wondering; is kissing any different after the surgery?

  • Kissing is better :)

  • ur hotttttttttt

  • you look really good but how much did you have to pay for it?

  • 0 dollars

  • wow! Awesome. What's your insurance company's name?

  • Yea, pretty much. That's not necessarely because your teeths aren't straight. It's to adjust your upper jaw to your lower jaw so that they match.

  • do people always have to get braces before doing the surgery?

i mean like my teeth arent crooked, i just have an undebite...

  • Yes - I'd say 98% of the time it's mandatory. Braces are a therapeutic part pre and post surgery. They prepare your teeth so surgeons have an easier time aligning them during surgery, and they restraighten the teeth to proper living/chewing alignment after the surgery.

  • Just wanted to say that you look damn good, man!

  • omg you got operated at 13? plain stupid due the fact that your bones are still growing. And yea, even tho it's damn nasty conditition to have, it's still in most cases "cosmetic". Unless it's really really badly disfigured. Even tho insurance doesn't cover it, at least here in Finland, it's rather cheap as long as you use public sector healthcare. Mine cost maybe 500'ish euros total. Including travelling, surgery and painkillers.

  • You look great, and that gives me hope for myself.

  • I had the same thing done too. Im 19 now but I started the whole braces thing when I was about 8 or so. I had my first surgery at 13 and they had to do both of my jaws. Everything then grew back a few years later so I had to have a second surgery at 18. I don't remember any of my surgeries being very painful, I was just really swollen and sore. I was also on a liquid diet for 6 weeks after both surgeries which was not fun. Its all worth it in end though. I'm glad that I went through it

  • i'll be expecting to get the procedure, approximently over summer, and i was wondering, what was the swelling like exactly a month after the surgery was done? and was it really painful the first week? & how lonng did you have to stick with soft foods?

    your outcome looks great!

  • I'm 15 and I have an underbite. You can't really notice it that much from the side because when I was 10 I had braces on and had them removed when I was 11 because I moved to a new country. But now I see its getting worse and worse. :(

  • Wow, you look absolutely gorgeous. It is such a big change.

I'm just checking out the videos because my brother is extremely nervous about getting his surgery in a few months. I'm really worried that his jaw will get weaker. It is a safe surgery right?

  • First of all, from a medical standpoint, if this surgery was not safe, then it wouldn't have been practiced for 30+ years. It has however, evolved from a very dangerous procedure, to a very safe and hardly painful procedure.

Your brother will be fine and he is in the best care with surgeons. His jaw will be just as strong (if not stronger!) than it was before.

  • I am having surgery on my underbite in about three weeks. Your videos have really helped me in knowing what to expect.

I was wondering though: how long did you have to keep your braces on for after the surgery? (i am going to college next year and i REALLY don't want to go with braces)

    you look great btw!

  • Braces for 2 years. 1 year before, and 1 year after.

  • WOW YOu LOOK GREAT!!!!!!!!!

  • wow u look better man. I need to have it done asap. problem is, i have a big nose, so my side profile aint the best. Hopefully if I have my op, I will look a bit decent. O well.

  • you look so much better now,Wow!!!! Much much more hansome.

  • Thank you!

  • Hey sicnor, did the doctor say anything about the percentage of permanent numbness?

  • Jeeeeez. I have the two videos side by side

    what a diffrence,

I have an underbite. How bad I dont know

  • Best to speak with your surgeon/orthodontist.

  • hey, how long did you have to have those braces on before your surgery?

  • A year before, 8 months after.

  • what was the worst part of the surgery/recovery

  • The recovery itself is the worst part. Staying full, keeping everything clean, it's all a big hassle. Pain, etc, not much of an issue. I had some difficulty sleeping a whole nights through, but, other than that, it's fine.

  • whose stunning now eh heheh and really what a killer disposition personality very grounded...sincere and eloquently spoken. Your parents must be proud little bitch ....jokes XX

  • it looks good bro (no homo), i watched the pre, and post, and there's a big difference.

  • I just watched the video the day before and then this one. It turned out pretty well! I just went to the orthodontist today and he mentioned jaw surgery to me.. but I've had my braces off for 4 years now and I am 17. He said that I may have to get braces again afterwards - do you think it's worth it? I hear that 17 may be too young for this surgery...

  • I seen your Mommy... HE HE HE

  • Lol.. that would be her

  • i have a question: did your insurance cover any of the cost? if so, how much did they end up spending? and how much did you have to spend?

  • Insurance covered the entire cost. $40,000. $0.

  • man ..... my parents and i have tried and tried to get the insurance to cover the surgery but they call it "cosmetic" and therefore won't cover it. was there anything special that you did to get it approved?

  • A ton of companies consider this surgery to be "cosmetic". It drives me crazy, because it certainly isn´t cosmetic. Mine is going to be completely covered, thankfully. I don´t know what my insurance company is but I´m pretty sure Blue Cross Blue Shield covers all the costs. I bet you could try and fight with your insurance company and try and show them that it´s a quality of life issue.

Good luck :) I hope you can get them to cover it!

  • ugh i hate that it's considered cosmetic. the amount of money for the surgery and braces is a real obstacle, and for many others i'm sure.

i had braces from ages 12-14..when i first got them off my bite appeared to be normal but soon after the gap b/w my jaws grew (i think it's 4 mm now) and now only a couple of teeth in the back touch. also, my wisdom teeth are coming in, but that hasn't really changed my physical appearance. my teeth look straight when i smile..the bite just sucks though.

  • ugg...i know. only two of my back teeth touch when i bite, and their both on the right side, which means that i'm usually chewing on that side. also, now that my teeth are to the point where my front teeth actually touch, i find that sometimes my front teeth accidentally grind together, and it feels like their gonna chip.

  • u are very cute now.. i wanna surgery my jaw too.

  • i have had braces since 6th grade and my ortho recently took off my top braces, i am 16now,but i still have my bottom ones on....latley although i have a retainer my teeth have rapidly moved back to an underbite, and its soo frustrating, they are still straight but i feel like my teeth are going back to square 1....i really want to get corrective surgery, but i am not sure if my insurence will cover it..what was the cost of ur corrective jaw surgery??

  • Im 16 and can i get my surgery even though im still young. i have already had my braces on for 6 months and my teeth are straight. i want the surgery to happen this summer. do you think i will be able to have it??

  • I've had my braces for over 2 and a half years, my orthodontist told me i was ready to have the surgery over a year ago but when I saw the surgeons they said I was't ready even though my teeth were straight. A year later and Im going to see the surgeons next week and hopefully they will set me a date for the operation. So basically Im suggesting that you don't get your hopes up because you could be let down.

  • Usually the Oral Surgeon likes to wait until you have finshed growing. Its possible for your jaw to continue growing and break the areas that are trying to be fused together.

    Good Luck

  • I had this surgery last friday, do you know when i'm gonna revover the sensibility? i cant feel my jaw nad its exasperating, please i need info.

    PD: you look great now

  • Takes a while. Expect about a month for most of your feeling to come back.

  • You look amazing! Seen all your videos now, and the results are awesome!

The surgeons are still trying to decide what to do with me but I have been told I am definitely having It done. 17 months with my brace on so far at this moment in time. Properly another year until I get my surgery, but thats the NHS in England for you! My friends dont want me to have it done, but what can I say, it's my choice :)

Your videos have been a great help. Thanks!

  • Thank you!

  • I saw your mom...

  • Lol

  • I just read through your posts, so the surgeoun moved your upper all the way forward ?! Hmm this s interesting since my surgeon said he would move my lower forward 5mm and upper back 2mm. Now, 2 years later (saw him last week) he said he's going to move my upper forward 5mm and my lower back 2mm !! Hope this is the right move..

  • Ask him why he changed his mind?

  • Dude you look fucking amazing, the difference is immense! The videos you posted were really useful. I have an identical problem to your own, deficient top jaw and protruding mandible, I'd say mine is as bad as your was. Seeing the change is really assuring, and I've been getting nervous since my Operation is 2 weeks away *gulp*

  • Nothing much to be nervous about. Recovery is the only sucky part--and it's not like you wake up and are in immense pain. Trust me on this. It comes on very slowly, like a weak poison... You will be ready for it when the time comes. Don't despair!

  • thanks for the videos i have to get this surgery very soon on my upper jaw for my underbite, i get my surgical wires put in within 6 weeks and then i wait to go in for surgery.

im afraid of looking uglier or like a monster

but im almost positive ill love the results wen its all done!!!

  • Np. I wouldn't say you'll look worse coming out of the surgery. You will only feel this way if you are in love with your current face.

  • your lips look so much nicer after the surgery ;)

  • Why... thank you!

  • Getting jaw surgery looks like a good idea, it changes your looks. Well, it will change mine. But im not sure whether I should take that option.

  • i've got to get this

    yes got to

but not for another 3 years. when im 18

  • very informative, thanks!

my friend was thinking of jaw surgery for the same thing.... and you look great btw.

  • you look alot better.

i have a smaller problem but i am hesitant about going into surgery

  • wow well done,

    nice informative videos.

  • dude thats sooooo awesome!!! I feel you man cuz I havent done so yet but I'm trying to get approved throught my insurance to have the same surgery as you! I makes me feel so comfortable to see how the surgery shows and incredibly positive appearance to your face as before. I know you know how I feel. I'll get some vids up when I undergo the same surgery, Lord willing, and you can comment on that too! It's looks totally good man!

  • Thanks! Can't wait to see them! Be sure to email them to me.

  • Update:

    Braces off March 27th.

Watch for the new vid :)

    subscribe to me

  • Dude! Your videos have helped me a lot. I'm preparing for jaw surgery in the summer. I think my problem is similar to yours. I have a pretty severe under bite. I've been pretty nervous about it all. But hearing and seeing it from you relieved me from my anxiety. Thanks!!

  • oh, ok, nevermind

    I saw your 4th video

    questions answered

  • hi, I've been experiencing an unusual amount of pain in my jaw and it's been hurting every day for the past week and a half. my mom's gonna bring me into the doc to have it looked at, cuz my Ortho already recommended surgery to correct it, and I'm actually hoping they'll say I should have surgery cuz my jaw's just been bugging me and I've been having to ice it a lot (I already know it's not TMJ)

    so

    2 quick questions:

how long does it take to heal/stop swelling?

    is it worth it?

  • hi, i have tmj problems and am looking into possibly getting the surgery.

did your jaw progressively change in appearance over time before you had the surgery?

do you still have any pain?

does your jaw function correctly now?

thanks for sharing your experience. it really helps!

    -a

  • 1) only during puberty

    2) no pain

    3) yes

Thanks! Please e-mail me if you have further questions.

  • Oh you look really better despite is not the most important thing, but functionality, im glad for you

  • Great job.

I'll do the same surgery and it's a relief to see how well yours went and the improvement in your look after that.

    Congratulations!

  • Hola no supe si dijiste el tiempo que usaras o usaste los brackets despues de la cirugia. En realiadad te ves mejor. Me van a operar el próximo mes y estoy nerviosa. Gracias por la información, soy de México.

Hi, I didn´t know if you said how much time you will use brackets after your surgery or how much did you use them (in fact, I´m studyin English, sorry). Actually you look better. I´m having an ortgnatic surgery the next month, and I´m nervous. Thank you for the information. I´m mexican.

  • I emailed you, please read :)

  • Soy de España, dentro de un año me haré la cirugía. Tus videos me han ayudado mucho. Creo que hará lo mismo en español, ya que apenas hay información directa como la tuya. GRACIAS!!!!

I am from Spain, in one year I will do the surgery to myself. Your videoes have helped me very much. I believe that it will do the same thing in Spanish, since scarcely there is direct information as yours. THANK YOU!!!!

  • I emailed you. Please read :)

  • thanks for this video..does anyone knows/had this operation 10 years ago(or even earlier)?how it their life today..do they have any temporomandibular disorders or paralysis?thnx...

  • Hi, I had this done in 2003. Healed up fine, but in late 2004 I started to get dizzy. VERY dizzy. Neuroologists said I had alergies. Alergy doc said I had vertigo. Ear doctor (who treats vertigo) said I had alergies. Long story short, the bones on one side of the uper jaw break keep rebreaking and healing, fracturing, and heading. I thought this was going on all along, but the scans never showed it.

  • Then, one day last month, a CAT scan showed the break. This causes chronic sinus infection (with NO symptoms other than dizzyness) and made me think I had a brain tumor for years. I'm going in to have more plates put in this summer. I hope that fixes it, sometime I can't even stand up I am so dizzy. The gums are still numb, and left side of the face doesn't "flex" as much as the right, but no visible paralysis.

  • i wrote 2 messages, but it evidently didn't post....thanks a lot again...anyhow,it's probably your sinuses..so take your antibiotics and nail some plates and it'll be ok...;)

  • anyhow...best of luck...and thanks a lot...

  • im assuming u also did an nose job because ur nose before surgery looked narrower and more pointy. is the result of the surgery or they did a nose job in order to be appropriate for ur new look?

  • just had similar sugery!! not as extreme but my top jaw has been moved!! due to the top jaw being moved the nose changes shape, it become wider and can tip up at the end but this is mostly due to the swelling and will return to near normal after about 6 months

  • you are you incredibly calm and mature, thank you so much for posting this video. i'm having a similar surgery about a year from now, haha i know it sounds like a long way away, but i'm sure you know, the process really starts a year or two before the actual surgery. you've given me so much confidence, and so much to look forward to, thank you so much.

p.s. you look awesome, and rock on to you for not becoming some cocky jerk considering you look so good! haha

  • Yeah you look about 200 times better.

  • Dam dude i have to get surgery to correct my overbite im scared as hell but its probably worth it...just one question how much will the surgery cost do you know ??? get back to me when you can ... thanks for posting these videos

  • how long couldnt u eat for

  • No chew foods for 6 weeks. No solids for about a week or so. Semi solids after about a week/two weeks. Basically it's a full soft diet for about 2 weeks, then slowly into solids.

  • you look really cute now! i'm only 17 and i'm gonna have to go for an upper jaw surgery soon and all this talk is freaking me out..

  • There isn't anything to worry about really. It's a really standard procedure. Also, 2 things. One: Recovery is the most difficult part. Most people only experience minor discomfort (pain.. Maybe a 3-5/10 n the pain scale). Two: You are really yougn, and will recover VERY fast. And seeing as recovery is the most difficult part, then you will have it even easier!

  • Dont know if i had the space in the other post to say this but thanks for your help with the questions i gave you awhile back about the surgery recovery.

  • no prob. keep me up to date!

  • I had this surgery about two months ago and i have my splint out and im eating solid food again and the sweeling has gone down mostly. I have almost all the feeling in my face back except my bottom left lip which is still a little numb but its coming back and will be completly back hopefully soon.

  • i am having this surgery in about a year the cost here in canada is about 1,500 canadian dollars same as u.s dollars the hospital stay and anestesia is free cause we got free health care i wouldnt make sense for me not to do it

  • i thnk you're mistaken...it costs way more than that..

  • Thank you pdersn!

  • the surgery in the united states is quite expensive. i had mine in the philippines. it only cost me around 450,000 philippine pesos, that's roughly 10,000 US dollars. (this is for lower jaw surgery only)

  • i did not wear braces before the surgery because my teeth were already properly aligned. so my surgeon just used some improvised splint or archbar to keep my lower jaw immobilized after the surgery. a jackson prat was also inserted to absorb blood in case the bleeding would still persist.

  • personal experience with the surgery: i lost so much blood in the OR, so several blood transfusions were done. i was even sent to ICU to make sure i was fine. the recovery period was tough, i stayed in the hospital for 6 days. and my mouth was shut for 7 weeks.

  • hi guys! since i had orthognathic surgery myself few months ago, i just like to share something.

to all those who underwent the surgery congratulations and good luck to your recovery. it's worth it. the result of mine is good. to all those planning to have their surgery, search the internet first and read up about the surgery. ask your surgeon if you have questions and specific concerns e.g. aesthetic outcome.

  • nevermind lol. You already had it. You look great man. Congrats.

  • you look so handsome..what an amazing job they did you have such a lovely profile now you must be very pleased with the result! i have braces on next month then surgeryyear from now, thanks for posting your video its reassuring to see you looking so well, and so good

  • You look stunning!

  • wow dude you look better. i have to go thrue sergury in the new year on my bottom jaw to move it forward. man im nervous.

  • It's not that bad. Recovery is the hardest part. If you aren't afraid of being hungry all the time and having trouble sleeping, this surgery is a breeze.

  • cool thanks

  • hi sicnor, you look great, the diference its awesome!! i got the jaw surgery too, but i have only 2 weeks after that. i'm still swollen, more in my chin but i hope to get the shape of my face soon, but i have to be patient, well bye! and happy new year..! sorry for my english , i'm learning!

  • Sorry, I accidentally clicked remove instead of reply. But I will be making a 4th video soon.

  • I wanted to ask you something...do you still feel a little numbness in your lower lip, it is my third week since my operation and i can feel it a little. I can't wait to look normal again! Oh! and happy new year!!

  • oh my goodness! you look great!!! I have the same exact problem as you did, the underbite and the deficient upper jaw. Im hoping to get my surgery this summer. im still amazed at your transformation! hopefully i will end up looking good, too! were you wired shut or were rubber bands used? was there alot of pain? and do you have any permanent numbness?

  • I had an acrylic splint wired to my top jaw, and elastics were used. So I was not wired shut. There was not a lot of pain, no. Just discomfort and difficulty sleeping/eating. So far, no permanent numbness. Thank you for your comments :) Feel free to e-mail me whenever you wish.

  • its amazin how mcuh different and better you look after watchin all three vids happy it went well for ya m8

  • I just had surgery on lower/upper. I can't believe the difference in your appearance, man! It's crazy! I'm so happy for you and like you said, I can't wait for this splint to be out. I just had it done a week ago and I'm doing ok now. Still swollen a little and no feeling in chin and lower lip. Just like to say that you did an amazing thing with these videos. It helped me a lot and wished I would have done the same thing. Take care

  • Damm i hope i look like that!!! now i know this isn't going to be so bad!!!thanks for this!! you really look different. I look different!! but right now i look like you..like in your second video!! plzz!! i really need to talk to you!!

  • Thank you for sharing your experiences... If you have any photos, I would like to see them. My e-mail is in my profile/several times on all of my videos' descriptions.

  • (Part 2)

My biggest problems are my appearance (I'm a girl =P), functionality - teeth can't cut food and comfort.

Why did they only move your upper forward? Because they want to move both of mine but I don't think that's neccesary because it's just the lower that causes my facial imbalance. I'm from the UK so I don't pay for any of this.

Thanks so much for sharing your videos, I don't feel so scared anymore. =)

  • Thank you for your kind complements. They realized (during surgery I believe) that they were able to only do my top jaw. They didn't want to mess with my bottom jaw because they said it had grown in so nicely and completely... So I guess I got lucky.

  • I see =P, thanks alot.

  • Hi Sicnor553,

How's life dude? You look great =P! I'm up for jaw surgery as well in the summer, I'm also a class III (macroglossia left untreated =( so had to have a tongue reduction before I got a brace).

I also had an open bite and the teeth in the upper were basically splayed but that was corrected with a brace and the removal of some teeth(4) including the wisdom teeth in the lower jaw. So kinda similar looking situation to yours pre-op.

    (Part 1)

  • hey sicnor, how long have you been on liquid diet after the surgery?
