  • I'm glad Obama believes "everybody can buy a truck!" Well, his little "attack" on Scott Brown clearly didn't work...

  • Thumbs up if schmoyoho brought you here.

  • There he is. The, numero uno, chief, head of the union, man in charge, president of the United States fan club, insulting a lower wage fellow American that he's not even competing against for the presidency. How am I supposed to believe that he cares about me and my family?

  • You never diss a man's truck what the hells wrong with u? Oh and since when is 90 percent considered everybody? Did u happen to leave out the 10 percent of americans out of a job? bet they cant just go out and buy a truck right now

  • WE NEED A TURTLE FENCE!

  • If you love your Pick-Up, you better watch out, our President thinks your Screwin this country up. I think your makin this country work, despite what he is thinking/doing.

  • Everybody can buy a truck? What country does Obama live in? There are plenty of people who can not afford to buy a truck. Thanks Obama for the huge unemployment.

  • "Comrade" Obama. "Maobama". None of you has ANY idea what communism is.

Also: Stop screaming about how Obama is trying to fundamentally change the country and put it on a path to socialism, while simultaneously screaming about him blaming Bush rather than doing something. Really -- it's one or the other (or neither).

And yes, the economy did indeed fall to pieces under the watch of conservative economic policies. So, perhaps, its ebb and flow has not so much to do with who's in office.

  • @marcozuon The economy fell apart because of the housing bubble bursting. A housing bubble that was set up by policies put forward by clinton in the mid 90s. They forced banks to shell out high risk loans (as in loans to low income individuals) so those people could buy houses. It wouldn't have matter who was in office. The economy was going to get hit hard. Now you can argue that Bush didn't do enough to fix it and I wouldn't argue against that. However, Bush didn't destroy the economy.

  • This is ridiculous, its a car, it takes you from point a to point b, it really shows how petty our politicians and media are for starting a circus about some guys truck.

  • This is ridiculous, its a car, it takes you from point a to point b, it really shows how petty our politicians and media are for starting a circus about some guys truck.

  • This is all that comrade Obama has. What a buffon.

  • Truck>Obama

  • Republicans have ruined america, give the democrats some time to fix the damage they've caused. You americans have no idea how to wait for something to take effect. Be patient you redknecks

  • Alright listen, scott brown drives a damn truck. That means he is win. LOLOLOL j/k

  • yeah im obama and i drive a tractor

  • You can tell Obama is afraid of Scott Brown

  • Obama probably drove a prius in Illinois

  • Scott Brown dont drive a truck, He drive a bus and the American people are going to be under it.

  • "My name is Barack Obama, and I drive an anti-George Bush bandwagon"

  • Yep, keep blaming Bush it makes you look weak & incompetent because being Bush has been gone for a long time, you should be speaking confidently about your own effective policies. Were they effective I guess then Obama would be.

  • I hate Scott Brown for buying a huge polluting truck and causing us cancer with Scott Brown's dirty TRUCK !!! scott brown is a environmental criminal!!!

  • I don't trust Scott Brown, but man Obama is dumb.

  • Stop calling him the President you must prove you citenzinship first, and no, paying off Hawaii state official to say they've seen the papers is not enough.

  • lol, faux news

  • @smokydave lol, The Young Dorks (as in Turks)..

  • @FiREFLYSerenity408 both are largely opinion and analysis, only one claims to be 'fair and balanced news'. I'd have no problems with fox if they weren't underhanded and sinistre in how they present the world.

  • @smokydave Fox is #1, that is why it dominated over CNN and MSNBC. Who the hell watches that old man Larry King on CNN?? Who the hell watches Keith Overbite Countdown to No ratings on MSLSD??!?

  • @FiREFLYSerenity408 uhhh.. yeah.. thats why there's random videos of tits bouncing on youtube that have more views than any state of the union or important video on the internet. cause huge masses of people always dictate who is the better source for facts.

  • @smokydave really??? So you think that people tend to watch tits bouncing than Fox News?? Oh please, I bet you just sit all day watching a bunch of idiots fighting on a YouTube video so they can get attention. Tell me, why is CNN plummeting in the polls as well as MSLSD?!?! Tell me why during the New York bombing nearly-terrorist incident, Fox News jumped and showed breaking news while CNN was broadcasting Larry King..still broadcasting Larry King?!?! tell me that!!!

  • @FiREFLYSerenity408 Oh, by the way.. Jon stewart gets higher ratings than any single show on fox news. If you want to get into masses, Jon Stewart has 10x as many viewers worldwide than Fox News, and he was voted the most trustworthy man in news media last year. So sure, a comedian is #1, and Fox news is for the idiots who don't know how to use google news.

  • @smokydave Oh, and by the way...Jon Stewart is a loser, he gets people laughing by cursing and using the word "fucking" and "fuck" all the time. are you telling me that you get your news from Jon Stewart?? Wait until November and tell me who will be laughing when the libs get voted out. I don't care if he is a comedian. Oh please smokydave, stop making me laugh. You can't compare Jon Stewart to Fox, I comparing with other news outlets like CNN and MSNBC and CBS and ABC News. hahahha

  • @FiREFLYSerenity408 cnn gets 30 million unique viewers a day on their website.. most people go to the internet for news these days, which is why fox only has 5 mill.

  • @FiREFLYSerenity408 btw, this is all easy to find, lookup internet traffic. sites like

'compete' that monitor net traffic.. fox is at the same level as huffington post

  • @smokydave uhh...no. Fox News Channel is a news outlet, just like MSNBC and CNN, but Fox beats them both!!!

  • @FiREFLYSerenity408 'beats them' is determined by what exactly? that they have the most TV watchers? are you really stuck in the 80s? cause fox has a very mediocre amount of readers.. more people get their news from CNN.

  • @smokydave 'beats them' as in viewers and broadcast, especially during the Haiti earthquake. Don't believe me??? Type it in the search engine and you'll see it. And yes...I like the 80s, great decade of music and culture. A decade of Ronald Reagan and Margaret Thatcher. More people get their news from CNN? Well..a lot more people get their news from Fox News as well. CNN is going downhill and is continue to go...that is why Lou Dobbs left and Dobbs has a lot of good points.

  • @FiREFLYSerenity408 again.. 30 million unique viewers per day.. vs. 4 million unique viewers per day.. you do realize that most people in the world don't get their news from the TV right? I know you're either 12 or you have the IQ of a 12 yr old, but you know the difference between 30 million and 4 million right? Fox has the most TV viewers because their viewers are too stupid to use the internet, or maybe even read.

  • @smokydave again..go check the rating data for Fox News Channel, the Public Policy Polling shows that they are the most trusted news on television. Let me ask you this, during the breaking news of the NY terrorist bombing incident in Times Square, why did it took really long for CNN to have breaking news about the incident? I was right there when Fox News had the breaking news, and CNN was having Larry King and after the show was over, then they had the breaking news. And I am 25 years old.

  • @FiREFLYSerenity408 do you understand that the news on the TV is always hours behind the internet? do you understand that the internet is where most people get their television? do you understand that DVD sales outdo TV ad revenue and movie sales? do you understand that we are in fact conversing on the internet? It's only Fox viewers that haven't figured out that TV ratings are not important.

  • @smokydave yes..the TV is behind the internet, but does not give the fact that CNN is very slow in covering the Time Square bombing incident in NYC, slower than Fox News Channel. I get the news both from the Internet and on television..but that doesn't answer my question why CNN was slow in covering the terrorist incident and at the same time, showing Larry King Live. The Fox viewers understand from Public Policy Polling that their outlet beats other, PPP is a Democratic-leaning site as well.

  • @FiREFLYSerenity408 LOL, you were 7 or 8 yrs old when clinton came into power and 5 when george bush was helping to create the discontent in Iraq we still see today, and you actually like to pretend you have a clue about thatcher or reagan? hilarious.

  • @smokydave I do have a clue about Ronald Reagan and Margaret Thatcher, and I am glad they became leaders, during the last decade of the Cold War. Tell me, who would you rather have as leader of the United States??? Jimmy Carter or Ronald Reagan? Tell me who would you rather have as leader of the United Kingdom??? James Callaghan or Margaret Thatcher. I bet you are the one who doesn't believe that they fought Communism to the end. I am an anti-Communist by the way, that is why I like Reagan.

  • @FiREFLYSerenity408 obviously you are a reaganite.. which is hilarious since its easily argued that this latest bubble was created by his tax cuts in the first place. so of course the braindead conservatives are going to suggest more tax cuts for the rich right? trickle down economics.. its what both Bush Sr. and Jr. did, and that got us.. oh yeah, the meltdown.

  • @smokydave Yes..Reagan is awesome. I like tax cuts, it is what the state of California needs right now. Basically, you are from the country of Canada in which the premier of Newfoundland went over to the United States for health treatment, which raised a lot of eyebrows. What's your solution huh?? More spending and more raising taxes. Oh please...go suck up to the socialists and Marxists in Canada. smokydave, it seems that you want to win against me, but I can go on forever and ever.

  • @FiREFLYSerenity408 uhhhh.. yeah, thats why you're that much debt to china. exceptionalism... at least you understand what that american exceptionalism is a concept and ideal, unlike palin who barely realizes that on the other side of the bering sea, she only sees siberia, not putin.

  • @smokydave what does having Sarah Palin not knowing that Russia is on the other side of the Bering Sea has to do with American exceptionalism?? Do you understand the concept??? The concept that French philosopher Alexis de Tocqueville talked about. I guess not, because you live in Canada. I blame those who wants to do business and cuddle with the Chinese, just like Obama.

  • @FiREFLYSerenity408 sorry, i think i just realized that i'm trying to have a discussion with a 12 year old boy.. Yes, The incredible hulk could beat up CNN too, go play with your toys.

  • @smokydave sorry, I think I just realized that I'm trying to have a discussion with a 5 year old girl..I mean boy. Yes, even Batman could beat up Fox News too, go play with your little toys and watch LiberalViewer and Media Matters.

  • @FiREFLYSerenity408 well, thats an original comeback.. oh wait, you just copied my comment.. no wonder there's no conservative comedians, you're not clever enough to be comedians.

  • @smokydave there is Larry Miller, Dennis Miller, and Greg Gutfeld...please, don't tell me you get your news from those comedians. I bet you are a drone as well, you depend on government-run health care.

  • @FiREFLYSerenity408 dennis miller hasn't been funny since the 80s dude.

  • @smokydave that is because you don't listen to him.

  • @FiREFLYSerenity408 btw, i'm 33, every western country on earth has government run healthcare, including some states like hawaii, where the GOP and Rush Limbaugh decided to go for vacations. not only that.. but what came through was very much a replica of the romney plan back in the 90s.. so if ur gonna start bashing the health care thing, its pretty obvious that you are just playing sides without actually doing research.

  • @smokydave AH HA! This is hilarious what you said. "every western country on earth has government run healthcare". Do you know what?? This is why I love living in the United States, I am glad that the United States do not have something like government-run healthcare. if you think it is great, go to Europe. See what is happening in Greece right now, hey smokydave, do you know what's happening in Greece, Italy, Spain, and Portugal. really bad...lots of rioting in Athens. Go to the UK's NHS.

  • @FiREFLYSerenity408 wow, you're a complete moron. Greecians riot at the drop of a hat.. their meltdown is not vastly different than the meltdown that happened in the united states. United states has already reached that level of breakdown and you're acting like its because of the healthcare system.. shows how little you understand about greece's problems.. I've actually lived in england, NHS is much better than the non-treatment i get in the USA

  • @smokydave hmm really. Yep..thanks to the Obamacare healthcare system. And I can tell you smokydave that, only a moron would believe that the United States should be like any other countries in the United Nations roll call, just like Greece, Spain, Portugal, and Italy. That is why I believe in American exceptionalism. If you do not believe me...just wait. Obviously, you live in Canada and I live in the state of California, where there are a lot more than where you live.

  • @FiREFLYSerenity408 wait.. you actually blammed the current economic problems.. the ones that started in late 2007 and most economists have said climaxed in 2006 after 30 years of the bubble building is the fault of 'obamacare'?

    are you mentally retarded?

  • @smokydave no, I am not. What makes you think that I am blaming the downfall of the United States on the economic problem in late 2007?? I am saying that the Obamacare will make the United States to be like Greece, Spain, Portugal, and Italy..because the Obama administration does not believe in free enterprise and the American exceptionalism concept, do you see??? And you think having a welfare government-run entitlement state is the best way to go, especially for America? Uhh..sorry smokydave.

  • @FiREFLYSerenity408 well, i'm definitely not pro-welfare state, and i think there's lots of over the top shit that the unions pull both in Canada, and in europe. But i also don't see it as a black and white, with us or against us choice either. There's lots of shades of grey in between and the obama care that passed doesn't have ANY form of public option.. It's more of a change to regulations on the insurance companies.

  • @smokydave LOL. really??? so you like government-run health agency program that competes with other health care insurances. It is no wonder you belong in Canada, and thank god I live in the United States. And I will tell you if you are not pro-welfare state, then you should come over and live in the United States. I don't believe in regulations on the insurance companies, although premiums must go down. I want everyone to have a choice in competition when it comes to choosing health coverage.

  • @FiREFLYSerenity408 I would rather have a government that leans towards socialism, than a government that allows corporations to rape the citizenry, plain and simple. I've benefited from the public health system, allowing me to get MRI scans for even the smallest of injuries to make sure there's no fracture, I know how much that would cost me in the united states if I was in between jobs. There's definitely good points to both sides imo, but i don't want a country run by corporations.

  • @smokydave whoa!!! Leans towards socialism?? hey smokydave, you should see what is happening in Greece right now like I said to you many times. To those who want socialism in the United States, Greece should serve as a lesson, it is the symbol of the failure of socialism. I rather have people not control the economy and let the free market and enterprise work by itself. it seems to me that you are a pro-welfare entitlement program state then, because socialists tend to support that.

  • @FiREFLYSerenity408 Why would I look at greece as an example? they have ridiculous corruption issues and have had for as long as they've existed. Their issues go far deeper than the fact that they have socialized health care. Canada or Germany would be better examples. Even Germany is maybe more socialist than i'd like for Canada to go, regardless neither Germany nor Canada suffered as much in the recent meltdown because we can control our banks.

  • @smokydave You would look to Greece for example because that might happened to other welfare state as well, if they continue down the road to socialism. Italy, Portugal, and Spain will happen next. You're funny, you said that you do not like a pro-welfare state, while you are advocating an entitlement program state which is almost the same thing. You are a hypocrite, I have to tell you that. Obviously, you are turning a blind eye of the crisis in the EU...if I were you, I would care..a lot!

  • @FiREFLYSerenity408 it seems like you want greece to be the 'smoking gun' of why socialism won't work.. I think you don't realize that even the united states is a little bit socialist. You have some social programs yourself, for things like police, fire department, socialized healthcare for veterans. Not to mention the bailouts that seem to be par for the course for either Reps or Dems. Greece has always been a mess, while germany and england are quite well.

  • @smokydave I want Greece to serve as an example of those who wants socialism, because it has become a failure, the entitlement programs and the spread the wealth. The United States is socialist right now thanks to Hussein Obama and his liberal cronies in Washington, who I do not support and will never support. Obviously, the police and fire department are government city departments, not programs. Ever city or county needs one. England is in a mess as well, when Gordon Brown left. He's horrible.

  • @FiREFLYSerenity408 huh.. well i guess if you think it's true u can live with that.. unfortunately there's a list of.. uh, EVERY modern country that currently uses a lot of socialist practices and is doing far better than the United States. China for example.. But regardless, one of the main things that took Greece down was Goldman Sachs and AIG trading them toxic assets and purposely moving some of america's debt into greece.. i really think u should look over some of the facts.

  • @smokydave this is where me and you differ, since you are a liberal and I am a conservative, I strongly believe in the concept in the "American way of life", because I know that you don't live in the United States, but I do. I am a proud patriotic American. The founding fathers of the United States argued against the redistribution of wealth, such as one of the founding fathers, Samuel Adams. So you think China is doing better than us. Wow..you sound like an anti-American socialist.

  • @FiREFLYSerenity408 really? so then police should only come to help someone who can pay them? fire department should only worry about a fire when it gets to a neighbourhood that has expensive property? you don't get it.. you already are socialist.. its just a measure of how or in what ways. We didn't give our banks huge bailouts, we didn't have to gain owning stocks in our auto companies.. in those ways, you're more socialist than we are.. in america its socialism for the rich.

  • @smokydave the police department as well as fire department has to be there, and no..it is not a socialist mentality. What is socialist is the government intruding into people's live as well as nationalizing and controlling such as banks, health care services, welfare entitlement programs and stuff like that. Like I said, Obama is making the United States into a socialist nation and it will cost him big time. Obama does not believe in America, that is why I don't like him..he's a fool.

  • @FiREFLYSerenity408 So when Bush came out with the patriot act and dissolved habeas corpus, you felt he was doing the good work? But Obama is creating a socialist nation. Obama hasn't done anything that's even remotely as fascist and totalitarian as Bush did with illegal wiretaps and Cheney's private death squads.. you wanna talk Stalin, talk about Cheney and Bush.

  • @smokydave WHOA! WHOA! WHOA! You cannot compare Joseph Stalin to Dick Cheney and George W. Bush, that is way out of the line man!!! You can compare Joseph Stalin to Mao tse-Tung, Pol Pot, Kim Il-Sung, Kim Jong Il, Ho Chi Minh and others. you sound like a total fool man. Smokydave, if I were you, I would go to Vietnam or China to look at the Communism there. Abraham Lincoln suspended habeas corpus too, so do you think Lincoln is like Joseph Stalin. You are stupid comparing them to Stalin, really.

  • @FiREFLYSerenity408 dude, your favorite station has various hosts who make comparisons between stalin and obama all the time. the fact that you think someone who had HIS OWN DEATH SQUAD (i.e. Cheney) and profits directly from warfare (Cheney being so entwined with Haliburton) is radically seperate from stalin or hitler, thats cause you are blind and stupid.. i mean its not surprising, since you're supporting a group thats mostly white supremacists.

  • @smokydave you see, this is why you are losing in the debate that you are having with me. making all these phony comparisons, it is like someone comparing KISS and Pink Floyd with the Jonas Brothers, which they are miles apart. The problem is that you keep going back to the Bush administration and stuff like that, that's a downer. Stalin should be compared with Kim Jong-il, since they are both Communists and Hitler should be compared with Iranian president Mahmoud Ahmadinejad. Now that's right.

  • @FiREFLYSerenity408 Cheney had his own private group of assasins that answered only to him and made hits on people that cheney decided were terrorists.. That's not just stalin, or hitler, or mao.. that's all of them. I don't think you realize who u are fighting for, and it's sad.

  • @smokydave lol. again!!! saying stuff like Dick Cheney have a group of assasins going out and killing people. Hmm..if that was true, I didn't hear any of that in the media, other than a funny like-minded person named smokydave. Then that means that if Cheney was an evil person, then that makes Joseph Stalin, Adolf Hitler, Mao Zedong, Ho Chi Minh, and Pol pot good people. I don't think you realize what you're talking about, and it's sad.

  • @FiREFLYSerenity408 it was true, it was in the news.. you didn't see it cause you watch Fox

  • @smokydave although Fox News have talked about this numerous times, the stations..like I said three times, that mostly covered the Greek crisis is the BBC, Sky News, DW-TV, France English 24, and others.

  • @FiREFLYSerenity408 in essence, you have to realize that a country that has had as little control over it's banking and finance system is not purely socialist.. I know you conservatives like to paint everything in black and white, but when JPMorgan and Goldmansachs are this heavily involved in managing your debt, then they simple aren't truly socialists (at least to do with finance.) their healthcare system has very little to do with it.

  • @smokydave the fact that the Obama administration wants to regulate both JPMorgan and Godlmansachs as well as how the government regulate Wall Street is not cool to me, that is why it will cost him politically. And the American people has enough of that!! Look at what is happening to the United States right now, it is going down because Obama does not believe pushing this great country into the whole with his idea of spreading the wealth. Welcome to Obama's America and it will go worst.

  • @FiREFLYSerenity408 generally, canada has had public health care for over 50 years, and when the american economy collapsed under Bush we recovered quite nicely and we're still fine. There are issues with our healthcare system, but compared to having 30 million of your own people that cannot get covered for basic medical, our system is amazing.

  • @smokydave I am glad that the United States does not have a health system like Canada, here in the land of the free and home of the brave, we have competition among health care insurance companies and shopping around which insurance suit me the most, but the Obamacare is very unconstitutional and it says nothing in the Constitution that forces people to buy healthcare. And what does Bush have to do with this? I am talking about healthcare. I tend to look forward rather than backwards.

  • @FiREFLYSerenity408 yes, they say that he who does not learn from history (by looking forward and not looking backwards as you just said) is bound to.. uh.. oh who cares what that saying says, its almost friday!

  • @smokydave yes, they say about repeating the mistakes from history, but Sir Winston Churchill says, let us move forward. And I admire Winston Churchill by the way, a lot of people like yourself in the UK, in the next 80 years, will care less about him or does not know what he is.

  • @FiREFLYSerenity408 in general, in the american system, you can be denied service after paying into a health care system for your entire life. Thats just ridiculous. Telling people their babies can't get coverage cause they're too chubby? WTF? and thats a system that works for you?

If you want to talk about how horrible public systems will destroy a country, talk to me about China, or don't talk at all. Your system is in shambles and they're your daddy now.

  • @smokydave no one is denied when they reach the hospital, including illegal immigrants, although that is putting a heavy burden on the American people. Yes, everyone should get healthcare, but not government-run unless you want the United States to be like in the crisis of Greece and rest of the European Union. Now I have not heard anything about denying babies because they are chubby. smokeydave, I know about China, in fact most Vietnamese people know about China, because they bordered them.

  • @FiREFLYSerenity408 LOL, you're a vietnamese! you're not even a real american and you try to act like you are so you can pretend you're a white person.. hilarious.. Well that must be why you have such a fear of socialism, having come from a backwards place like that.

  • @smokydave I am an American with Vietnamese descent, I was born to Vietnamese boat refugee parents. I was born in Northern California. I am acting like an American, not a white person. Also, I am proud of my heritage as well as adopting both Western/Asian values. Some of the Asian values that I adopt are most of the time extreme for Americans, but I have to be loyal to my country, United States. I can choose whatever country I want in the world, but I choose the United States all the way.

  • @FiREFLYSerenity408 yeah, but to the majority of the tea party or sarah palin followers, you are an outsider and unwelcome.

  • @smokydave really??? The tea party people comes from all walks of life. the Cuban-American U.S. Senate candidate Marco Rubio and the African-American U.S. Congress candidate Allen West have their endorsement. You are the ONE who is playing the race card. Just like how the Viet Cong and the Communists in Vietnam play the race card back then.

  • @FiREFLYSerenity408 a tenth of a percentage of the tea party is not white.. you're quite confused.

  • @smokydave so you are worried that the Tea Party group is all white?? that makes me believe that anyone who listens to rock music should be white, not Asian.

  • @FiREFLYSerenity408 you see, when rand paul just came out and said straight out that he apposes the laws that force businesses to allow non-white people to enter their establishment, your entire argument falls apart and you're an asian that's unknowingly fighting for the 4th reich

  • @smokydave although I don't like his dad because I think he's a kook. I do agree with his son on most things. You are basically comparing people such as Rand Paul with the Third Reich which is dumb and doesn't make any sense. Fight for the Third Reich?? If that is true, then my people during the Vietnam War was fighting for the so-called "U.S. imperialists of the Third Reich". Oh please...if the United States was like that, I could pick any other country in the world like Canada or the UK.

  • @FiREFLYSerenity408 you keep bringing up greece.. it is pretty irrelevant. i might as well bring up Guatemala as an example of capitalism and how the free market will rape your country. I don't think you have even a rudimentary understanding of what you're talking about dude, you're just spewing talking points you got from fox.

  • @smokydave the crisis in Greece is covered on international news outlets such as the BBC, Sky News, DW-TV, France 24 English, Russia Today, and others a lot more than Fox News Channel. Capitalism is going well in Angela Merkel's Germany, that is why the Christian Democratic Union (CDU) and the Free Democratic Party (FDP) are gaining strengths. Europe is learning their mistakes from socialism, go to Gordon Brown's UK, the country is decaying right now. I don't know what David Cameron will do.

  • @FiREFLYSerenity408 none of that really matters, they are more fiscally conservative than greece for sure, but that would've been true before this meltdown too. They still have amazing workers rights. the Unions are still very strong and they have free healthcare and free post-secondary education.

  • @smokydave "none of that really matters, they are more fiscally conservative than greece for sure", it will matter if the crisis from Greece will spread to their country, and it is likely that it will spread to the United States, especially to the state of California, where my state is being like that. You're funny man, saying that you are NOT pro-welfare state, but you said that you like socialism. It is saying that you don't like Communism, but you like Ho Chi Minh and Mao Zedong. funny!

  • @FiREFLYSerenity408 again, trying to use greece as an example of socialism is like using guatemala and honduras as an example of capitalism. United fruit has done a great job of making those areas communism free for almost 100 years.. why is it that these banana republics are still in the shit.. it must be the capitalism thats causing all these problems.. really dude, the world is not so black and white, and you are quite simple in your understanding of it...

  • @smokydave so you are blaming capitalism for the problem and at the same time, saying that you are not pro-welfare state. The reason why I keep bringing up the example of the crisis in Greece is because you don't get it, what's funny, like I said many times..saying that you are not pro-welfare state but like socialism. banana republic states are full of shit is due to the socialist ideologies that has been imposed on them. Look at Venezuela under Hugo Chavez and Bolivia under Evo Morales.

  • @FiREFLYSerenity408 i don't think you even have the slightest clue what i'm getting at.. it goes over your head.. Guatemala is a capitalist country.. it keeps having coups and economic collapses, so i shoudl then use that as an example of why america should abandon capitalism? NO!! that would be stupid.. as stupid as using greece as an example.

  • @smokydave not all capitalist/democratic countries are perfect, but Guatemala is a flawed democracy and is functioning very well, but not perfect. Thailand is a flawed democracy and his capitalism in their country, and they too have a lot of coups, just take a look at the coup in Thailand right now. But it is not based on capitalism. If a country have an economic collapse, then the government should fine other ways to rebuild the economy, but Greece is the symbol of socialism failure.

  • @FiREFLYSerenity408 greece is not a symbol of socialism, it's a symbol of corruption and chain smoking beach bums. Germany, Canada and the UK are symbols of socialism, and they are all doing fine.

  • @smokydave "greece is not a symbol of socialism" Greece is the symbol of failed welfare state, the government in Greece right now is a Socialist political party, they ousted a centre-right/conservative party a couple of months ago due to corruption. What does chain smoking beach bums have to do with the crisis in Greece?? If it was due to beach bums, Germany and other wouldn't be bailing them out. the UK is screwed unless David Cameron do something about it. Greece is a welfare state. duh.

  • @FiREFLYSerenity408 dude you even just said it.. corruption, ousted.. you have all the facts in front of u and you just don't see it. its a corrupt country.. how did it fail in socialism? cause socialism will fail in a country of corrupt people. why does it work (tho some corruption always lurks) in germany or canada? because we're generally not that corrupt in comparison. Greece is on mexico's level dude.

  • @smokydave They were ousted due to corruption, but the Greek financial crisis did not face a severe blow at the time, but the time when the Socialists came into office. The Greek Socialists spend their way out of debt and because of the country spending so much of these entitlement state programs, they had to cut many of the programs that many of the Greeks wanted and have lived for a very long time. That is why they are rioting in the streets. Socialism failed under Germany under Schroeder.

  • @FiREFLYSerenity408 they were paying people for several months more than they were actually working and giving ridiculous payoffs to various levels of government too. that is all corruption, not socialism. germany isn't socialist anymore? they still have university paid for etc.

  • @smokydave Germany is an example of a welfare state, although the government of Angela Merkel is a centre-right/conservative and free-market and have been preventing the socialist influence to take over Germany again. The socialist government of Greece is bringing the country down to its feet, something Greece has never seen before, Greece was strong during the 2000s. The chancellorship of Gerhard Schroeder made Germany into a socialist decay, so Merkel had to clean it up starting 2006.

  • @FiREFLYSerenity408 Germany's conservative is way more liberal and progressive than America's conservative.. As is true in England and Canada.. Greece came out of a civil war 50 years ago, so saying they've been "strong" at all in the last century is a blatant empty talking point, especially when you yourself pointed out that the conservative candidate was ousted for corruption. Regardless, since america went bankrupt and needed china, ur kinda hippocritical.

  • @smokydave Germany is conservative in many of its economic policies, that is why they have the Free Democratic Party (FDP) and the Christian Democratic Union forming together after German chancellor Angela Merkel won her re-election a couple of months ago. Their economy has been strong in the 2000s and until the Socialist government came, that is when things began to spiral downward. America can be less off from China's influence, but mostly Democrats want business with China, I don't like that.

  • @FiREFLYSerenity408 first off, yes, there is a more conservative government coming into power in germany, but you don't seem capable of accepting that their version of conservative is very far left of the dems in the usa.. second, bush made huge amounts of deals with china, and by continuing his tax cuts on the wealthy (now lower than ever in history) led us towards even more dependency on china.

  • @smokydave Far left of the Democrats???? When was the last time a conservative government in Germany believe in spreading the wealth, or when was the last time Margaret Thatcher ever believe that socialism was a good thing?? If you believe that the European conservative is far left of the Democrats, then by all means, they should not align themselves with the United States on particular foreign policy issues. And Bush disliked China a lot, especially China's influence in Africa.

  • @FiREFLYSerenity408 which one of those conservatives in europe abolished their public health care or social assistance? Bush did whatever China said.. he handed over Taiwan..

  • @smokydave There is a conservative in Europe named Daniel Hannan who is calling for the abolishment of the UK's National Health Service (NHS), ever heard of him?? I can tell you that he had the attention of conservatives worldwide when he totally OWNED British socialist prime minister Gordon Brown at a European Union meeting in Strasbourg, France about spending too much and spreading the wealth. And for China..China does not like Bush, that is why Bush continues selling arms to Taiwan.

  • @FiREFLYSerenity408 david cameron is the prime minister now, not daniel hannan, and he made various promises about the nhs.. are you just making conversation? i can only think of a few countries that like Bush, he's pretty universally thought of as a moron all over the planet.

  • @smokydave You are asking what conservatives have been taking a stance against the public health care system, and I gave you Daniel Hannan. I can say to you that the UK should be like the United States and drop the European welfare system, David Cameron is a moderate-conservative but he is no Margaret Thatcher and Sir Winston Churchill, and he is not even like Michael Gove or Sir Edmund Burke. And for George W. Bush, I like him and doesn't matter what other countries think of him, like Reagan.

  • @FiREFLYSerenity408 honestly you seem like a smart guy, and you read a lot, but go to germany and tell me how conservative they are. they still get 5 weeks paid vacation to start. they still have public health care and free university.. the only way in which they are more conservative than americans is their immigration laws for gaining citizenship.

  • @smokydave they are conservative in the sent of the International Democrat Union, consists of centre-right/conservative and Christian liberal conservatism ideals. The United States is the hardest working country in the world, because the United States does not believe in the European welfare model, but in the "American way of life". We have quality health care, but not government run. I support the immigration law of Arizona SB 1070. that's the right way and it is what the U.S. should adopt.

  • @FiREFLYSerenity408 wow, you're literally a fox news regurgitation machine.. you should watch a different news source once in a while, they've warped you.

  • @smokydave it seems to me that is the best that you can come up with, accusing me of being a Fox News regurgitation machine, I do watch a different news source, and it is called DW-TV and the BBC News and Sky News and France English 24 as well as NHK-TV English. And yes..those channels warped me.

  • @FiREFLYSerenity408 bbc news and sky news are allright. to be honest, i find all american news very partisan.

  • @smokydave CNN, MSNBC, ABC, and CBS are going down the drain..that is why I tune into Fox News Channel, Fox Business Network, Sky News (online only), BBC News, DW-TV (English-speaking German news), NHK-News, France English 24, and others. Also SwissInfo.ch (but only online). And you said that you have been to Vietnam?? Where in Vietnam have you been?

  • @FiREFLYSerenity408 ho chi minh, ha noi.. i like the south more than the north to be honest. CNN's main problem is that they are too dry and don't say anything.. Fox is far more partisan than any station i've ever seen anywhere. honestly they remind me of CCTV in china.

  • @smokydave The South is good, the north are mostly Communist sympathizers and those who likes to read Karl Marx and listen to the ideas of Ho Chi Minh. No...Fox News Channel dislike CCTV, most of the people on Fox dislike Communism. It is really dumb to compare Fox News Channel to CCTV, Fox News is not controlled by the government. I despises CCTV, because I am a huge critic of the Chinese government and those who supports them, just like Pakistan, Burma, North Korea, Iran, and others.

  • personally, i think fox hates cctv, cause its like lookin in the mirror and hating what you see.

  • @smokydave personally, I think Fox is a critic of China, which is good. I am a critic of China as well, and I don't care what CCTV thinks, they are a mouthpiece for the Chinese government.

  • @FiREFLYSerenity408 I don't care what Fox says, they are a mouthpiece of the republican party and corporate interests. They even tried to make net neutrality into a conspiracy against the public, when it's really just trying to maintain everyone's access to the internet.

  • fox news IS mainstream.. I just looked up "demographics news media america" and found tons of information, all pointing to the fact that Fox news is entirely conservative.. only differentiating between anti-government and pro-government conservatives. you should look things up before you make claims about them

  • @smokydave CNN, MSNBC, and others won't have the guts to cover the Tea Party protests happening around the United States. And by the way smokydave, say whatever you want about them, they are strongly influential, look what happened to the elections in New Jersey, Virginia, Massachusetts, and other states. Heck..they even thrown out a Republican in the primaries in Utah. Fox News is #1 and everyone of all walks of life, independents and Democrats and moderates and Republicans watch Fox.

  • @FiREFLYSerenity408 its funny cause you asked me to look up the demographics, and i did, and i told you, Fox is not viewed by democrates, moderates, liberals.. there was a study done and there was some people who called themselves liberals in the tea party, but they are being run almost entirely by fox news, which railroads them into serving corporations. rand paul supports the oil companies even after this spill.. i'm sure you support them too. till we have no ocean left.

  • @smokydave I can tell you that the moron is Barack Hussein Obama, who believes in Marxism, Communism, socialism, and anti-Americanism.

  • @FiREFLYSerenity408 thats just not true.. i can guarantee you that you didn't get that news from anyone other than fox news.

  • @smokydave "i can guarantee you that you didn't get that news from anyone other than fox news."

    really?? how? LOL.

  • @FiREFLYSerenity408 cause nobody else is trying extremely hard to make outlandish comments like that. he's no more a communist than bush or anyone else is, he's backed wall street pretty consistently for a communist, and he's abandoned the working class far too much to be a communist.. the healthcare bill doesn't even have a public option.

  • @smokydave stop trying to bring in George W. Bush with a bunch of Communist analogies. It is obviously clear that Barack Hussein Obama likes many of the Communist leaders out there, many of his campaign workers like Che Guevera when Obama was running in 2008. There are several people in his administration who even likes Mao Zedong. Obama believes that Americans should not make a lot of money, but should put a cap on how much we make annually. Obama does not believe in capitalism.

  • @FiREFLYSerenity408 people who wear che guevera shirts are as dumb as rocks and have no idea that he's a mass murderer or that he thinks using guns to solve political discourse is the only way. I have no love for liberals who wear che shirts, they're as embarassing and brainwashed as people watch fox news IMO

  • @smokydave "people who wear che guevera shirts are as dumb as rocks and have no idea that he's a mass murderer or that he thinks using guns to solve political discourse is the only way". So you are saying that I am like the guys who wear the Che Guevera T-shirts??? Uhh...no. I like watching Fox News Channel because I like watching Fox News. There are a lot of socialists and librals who admire Che Guevara, look at the anti-illegal immigration protests against SB 1070 in the United States.

  • @FiREFLYSerenity408 there's lots of conservatives that think that gay people made hitler evil.. there's conservatives that dedicate their life to fighting homosexuality, then get caught hiring a gay boytoy to go to europe with. There's all sorts of stupid out there in every group, but watching Fox is not helping your intellect IMO.

  • @smokydave Hitler is evil because he has a hatred for Jews and the non-Aryan people, that's all I can say. I support a traditional marriage between a man and a woman, and do I hate gay people??? No, I do not. And what makes you think that I watch Fox News Channel to help with my intellect, no..I read more than I watch the news. Just like SB 1070, most of the liberals who are blasting the Arizona law haven't read the law itself, like Eric Holder, Janet Napolitano, and..probably Obama as well.

  • Comment removed

  • @FiREFLYSerenity408 you do realize that greece has been known as being almost 2nd or 3rd world for a long time before the E.U. came along right? I've been to greece, vietnam and guatemala and they're not at extremely different levels of luxury. I'd say that metropolitan Istanbul has a higher level of luxury than Athens.

  • @smokydave Greece has always been Greece...and they have always been capitalist ever since their country has been over-runned by Communists, until they were pushed out back in the Cold War. You have been to Vietnam??? Really. If you have been to Vietnam, where in Vietnam have you been to??? So you think the idea of having a utopian dream which Obama is pursuing is good. You think the people in Vietnam are happy with the stuff that they are given, like government-run health care?

  • @FiREFLYSerenity408 btw, the fact that you think you have to like communism and like mao zedong again shows how ridiculously clueless about communism, socialism or anything like that you are. I guess for you i can assume you love it when corporations put lead paint in children's toys cause it's good for capitalism? Is that true? or is that a contrived position i place on you so i feel right.. i know this is gonna go over your pea brain, dunno why i try.

  • @smokydave whoa! clueless about Communism??? Hey buddy, my parents escaped from Communism almost 3 decades ago man!! I don't know what you're talking about. Even though, like I said that they escaped Communism in Vietnam, they also know the behavior of Communism from the Chinese as well, they show their strong dislike towards Ho Chi Minh and Mao Zedong. I don't like outsourcing to China, that is not the American way. It seems that you are trying to say that Communism and socialism is good.

  • @smokydave and if I had a pea brain...I wouldn't be able to debate you. I wouldn't know what Communism is and who is Mao Zedong and where Greece is located on the map.

  • "everybody can buy a truck"

    Really?

  • I feel like I am the only one embarrassed FOR the stupidest man-child in the world. Only Stpid folks voting put him in this office, and this is what we got ....

  • @jettbugg do a google search for the following "bush election 2004 daily mirror"

Look what we got for 8 years.

Our deficit numbers didn't happen in just ONE friggin year. lol

Oh and in case you (to selectively forget), Bush pushed for bank bailouts in 2008 and the GOP supported him.

Including Eric Cantor whose wife works at a bank who was getting bailout money.

    Keep watching Faux News.

  • @jcub33 ...Stupid Bush is gone and history. We have other things to be concerned with. I do not need to google anything about anybody. I just go by what I can observe, and this administration hates America. I am not familiar with "faux news," so you are the informed one!

  • everyone can buy a truck?????? uhh i dont think so!!!! we are in the worst recession since the great depression!! what a complete idiot!!!!

and make progress? what progress has there been? i havn't seen ANY progress at all!

  • TRUCK > OBAMA.

  • God this country is stupid

  • Comments that unemployment was 4% with Bush.

Where did you get that stat? Was it when he first entered office? Are you insinuating the unemployment was caused by Obama because it is a fact that he did not.

In the end, does it really matter what Bush did or did not do when America is in dire economic ruins?

Many are criticizing Obama's race and calling him arrogant?! I think these posters need to open up the closet book and just start reading it. This is again, an outside viewer of USA

  • Outsider view? Where are you from?

And I didn't care for Bush and I don't like Obama either. I think he is a bullshitter.

  • @gdpsgp does it matter?

  • nope just curious that's all.

  • As a outsider, all I can say is people seem to be blindly attacking Obama's character and bringing up irrelevent things such as Air Force 1 when they should be looking at the real issues.

These people have to remember that it's the Republicans who are blocking Obama's bills when they criticize his lack of progress.

It seems many people blindly follow "their side" instead of looking at who will help their country the most. ie. opposition to universal health care = Road to socialism? --Really?
