We went every fri in 94 some of 95...My missus even got engaged there at fibre optic 3/3/95...Connie gave us a wicked shout on the grooverider set...Smig n lou...lol HAPPY HAPPY DAYS...we travelled from Mansfield every week..before the new road was there...I was there when this was recorded...Had the tape in mi car...my missus is on part 4/4...black cat suit,denim dress over the top...Young un nowadays dont know there born...Brisk was hard man....LIVE LOVE DANCE....

Had some top nights in this club. It was 100 miles to the click from Kinetic to my bed! I remember once we agreed to meet up at Keele services after. I got lost, ended up at Hilton Park (totally the wrong way) and they wouldn't even serve me a hot chocolate to take out because i was young!! Respect to everyone that shared those happy times RIP Danny, RIP Jon-E.

Great stuff, when techno tunes bangin and thoughtful.. So many good tracks were around back then.. I mean, just look at the energy there, don't see nothing like that now.. Things looks so clean now in clubs, it was dirty back then, the pill sweat, now you see most kiddies walking around with alcho pops.. I mean, sheit.. You never saw alcohol back then, that would ruin the pill / speed buzz...

@TheMillie77 Oddly, thats one of my favourite memories of this place... Stand still in the middle of the dancefloor and it still looked like you were dancing because the floor bounced so much! Well, that and occasionally disappearing down the gaps in the podiums which moved because of said bouncy floor! LOL

What are you on about 'damn scousers'? Kinetic was full of scousers every week and it wasn't a problem so don't be making out that scousers are responsible for it being shut down.

Club Kinetic closed because the Council made it difficult.

Nothing at all to do with anyone from Liverpool or anywhere else.

It's the mix of the people attending Kinetic that made it special.

Infact the carpark taxers where all local stoke lads..and to be fair it woud`nt of been the same without any of them...Would give all to go back 15-20 years :) Qaulity club...Qaulity Dj`s Never forgotten

@domothemetalgod The floor most definitely wasn't designed to bounce. The Leisure Bowl was, I believe, originally a cabaret/live music venue with a rather more sedate pace. The unique bouncy floor was a result of the wide spans between the pillars in the bus station below, which were necessary to move the buses around.
