Basterds was good, but it could have been a lot better in my opinion. I also felt like I was intentionally mislead by the marketing campaign, which is probably no fault of Tarantino's. I enjoyed the film, I still didn't think it was the incredible piece of genius art that it was played up as.

@rockyfan94 Right, it's called "marketing," films are marketed towards the audience that the distributors think will be more likely to go see it. A Tarantino film is very difficult to sell because it's not an action film, nor a comedy, nor a drama, nor a thriller. It's a combination of all those genre's put together. If it's sold as an action film, the teenage audience (who make up the majority of moviegoers) will probably go to see it. That's why the trailers are misleading.
