  • Camera's are the new guns when fighting against the American Government. I had a cop make a veiled threat and refuse to give me his name no less than 3 days ago, which you can hear in my latest video (I pressed audio recorder rather than video on accident). Tell the police NOTHING unless you are required by law.

  • Thank you guys for the mention, would you mind if I posted a link to this on our website?

  • @TheCopBlock Thanks for all the great work you've done. Please feel free to post it.

  • I saw the Oscar Grant slaying and I cringed. The cops laugh about what they do a lot of the time. It's insane. I wonder what that cops sentence is going to be. This is a good video Sheve. What made you decide to do a video on this particular subject?

  • Excellent video.

  • I run across these stories more and more frequently lately. It's an issue that needs more exposure. Thanks for the heads up on the blogs. I'll add them to my regular reads. Another thing I've noticed is that cops on 'peasant control duty', ie in their riot gear, don't display their names or badge numbers. I think the anonymity goes a long way to explaining their behavior.

  • @HeavyTrafficAhead yeah this riot gear trend is very scary indeed. I've seen videos of people directly asking for their id's and the either get ignored, intimidated or beat.

  • Cops Especially break rules during protest marches. I saw cops enter a march (which is illegal, they can only be on the edges of a march) and one kid called them out and got beat with a club for it. It was video taped luckily. And we all surrounded the cop and chanted police brutality. I don't think the cop got in trouble but I believe this led to Mumia Abu Jamal being taken off death row. I highly recommend checking out mumia's vids on YouTube.

  • @cannibalcountry It seems like the policy for crowd control is to act like thugs, beat everyone you can, intimidate the shit out of people and then pay for it later in court, if at all. I'll def. check those vids out.

  • Orwell 1984

  • important stuff. thanks for the link. this is exactly the kind of thing we need to ALL fight against. faved.

  • @oojamaflipper I decided to focus on the US in this vid but the UK law against photographing cops is such bullshit. They snuck that one in under the guise of terrorism protection while cctv films your every move. CCTV didn't help my friend who was drugged and put in a cab right outside tottenham court road and then raped. Bastards.

  • @shEvoDEevolution yea i know.. its fucked up. you have inspired me. i hope to do a vid soon on the broad subject of civil disobedience..

  • @oojamaflipper For as much as the US and UK like to crow about democracy, seems like a majority of people are more then happy to give away their freedoms for a false peace of mind. Like the wire tapping in the states, no body has paid for that. Data mining is going on as we speak. It's fucking ridiculous more people don't care about these things. Or are we just fed this notion that nothing we do will change anything so why bother?

  • @shEvoDEevolution i was arrested and cautioned once for posession but it was totally my fault.i didnt have to cooperate like i did. i basically did a dance cos i assumed there was no better option. if id seen the links u posted here before that i would maybe handled it different.

  • @oojamaflipper yea you really have to do a dance and feel out the situation. I've only been stopped once by cops in LA and I was about to go off. Cops here have quotes of stop frisks and pull overs. I was trying to find parking near my place and they accused me and my friend of driving around the area too frequently and maybe we were going to steal a car.We were in a fucking car.I think CA might legalize pot this fall. It's practically already legal. There are "medical" centers on every corner.

  • @shEvoDEevolution oh man it would be so fuckin amazin if it did get legalised. it would start a chain reaction all over the world. no one wants to go first. they're shit scared of being seen as too liberal. THE WAR ON POT WILL NEVR BE WON YOU FUCKIN IDIOTS

    plus weed > alcohol

  • @oojamaflipper I have never seen anyone beating the shit out of each other while smoking weed. It will help increase tourism. Just imagine. You can get high and go to all the theme parks. I bet going on the Jaws ride at Universal Studios would be 1000xs better baked.

  • I took a look at that blog, some of that is scary.

  • Awesome video. They have no qualms filming us, that's for sure.

  • @rememberthediamonds none at all. The LAPD should be filmed at all times in my opinion. Have you seen any footage from the G20 or the Republican National Convention. They're not cops anymore. Storm Troopers with no discernible identification on is more like it. Filming actually protects cops too. It can show if they are not using unreasonable force. So when they harass people with cameras they just come off looking authoritarian.

  • @shEvoDEevolution My big wake up call was Seattle 1999, and the media coverage, and my discovery of public radio and counter spin, etc. We also need to report on all protests and ALL police detainments and activities related to this first amendment activity. I was shocked at the difference between our country and China. Did you know that the people in Tienanmen Square were there ONE WEEK? Were the students at Kent state who were run down even there ONE HOUR? Curios.

  • @rememberthediamonds cops use a tactic where they will have a plain cloths officer in the crowd as a plant and insight the crowed to violence so they can purposely attack the crowd. That happened in the 60's a lot. You should watch this film on the Chicago 7. It's really good. Kent state is devastating. Every time I see that picture of the woman crouching over the body of that guy I cry. Her expression on her face. Haunting.
