The prom season finale is the best episode of any show of all time! This show has the best ensemble of characters (including the decaying and long past its prime, simpsons). And Brock Samson is the best of the best! Coolest tough guy of all time!
I agree-- esp. the part about Al and Shore Leave getting together! Best gay hook-up in TV history.
I just hope it wasn't the real Monstroso who got killed, he was an uber-nice Arch-villain. Molotov and her squad were due to die, however, they were way annoying, and going nowhere.
And likewise Col Gathers is a better head of OSI, the other guy just got in the way.
interesting, if you want to create the little scenario, write it like propaganda and then find and exploit every little way to make fun of that! YAY! I love this series!
yea yea i get it oh the guy from labrynth he's awesome...that movie didn't even make sense. What i really want to know is did you see Brock shove a caulking gun into a henchman's gut, and pump out caulk through his eye sockets and nostrils?!
Bowie will be making another appearance in Season 4. If only they'd been able to get the real David Bowie to do the voice. That would have been amazing.
They did actually ask him, and he denied. (Or, more likely, his agent or manager denied.) Jackson and Doc were particularly upset as not long afterward, Bowie accepted a voiceover role on Spongebob. :(
i love how brock fucking throws a flashlight at the pillar and it collapses, as well as when he's strangles the monarch's henchman, even though he's knocked out
ironically, a buttload of david bowie referances come up in the actual show. Why is that? is the maker of the show just a huge bowie fan? and i lost track of the series towards the end, when did 24 die?
First, I think it's a great and ironic choice to pick "Heroes" for this since Bowie is a villain in the show. However, I think that this would have been better if you'd done it as a Brock/Molotov tribute. Bowie said he wrote this song with a James Bond theme in mind, so what better than a tribute to a frustrated romance between two spies? But, overall, I enjoyed it.
maybe not 100% of it, but there's definitely that theme running throughout. It's even edited to make that theme more obvious, i.e. the lightning & rain portrait of Brock has a ghost image of Molotov that isn't in the show...
That was pretty cool, but I didn't really see how it all tied together. For the most part I just saw a bunch of cool clips put together with a good song. They didn't really come together for me.
Perfect. Not only did the song itself fit well, but the mere fact that it was by the Sovereign of the Guild of Calamatious Intent was just icing on the cake.
can someone PLEAAASE put the episode where their in mexico and the boys are captured in the first season?? i need to show a friend the part where he say "THEY HIT ME WITH A TRUCK!!!!!!", and id do it myself but i have no idea how.
Great video!!! One question... at 1:40 with Brock in the Santa outfit... What episode is that from? I've never seen that one before. Thanks in advance.
That would be "A Very Venture Christmas," their Christmas special from season 1. I don't think it's been on the air too often, though I know it's on the dvd.
I actually ended up finding it online last night. I have both Seasons on DVD and I've never seen it on there. Unless it's a bonus feature and I've just never looked for it.
I wonder if they're going to reveal the obligatory plot-line that Monarch and Dr. Venture are actually brothers?
Because they're practically identical, and the show IS called "Venture Bros."

Isn't it cold out in space, Bowie?
Do you want to borrow my jumper, Bowie?
Does the space cold make your nipples go pointy, Bowie?
Do you use your pointy nipples as telescopic antennae to transmit data back to
Earth?
Bet you do, you freaky old bastard you
