  • Motley Crue and an F-18=best video ever.

  • what is that music?

  • @51zelao FUCKING HEAVY METAL

  • Music ruined it

  • Just a great video,thx for posting

  • Where else in the world do they give you an F-18 and pay you to fly it?

  • @VelosiT Other airforces.

  • @VelosiT Finland does.

  • was this you??

  • @diandrelabadie Nope, it's a video I found. And I wanted to share it with you guys.

  • bad music

  • damn...coolest job EVER ?

  • middle finger at 0:04 ? :P

  • @neillypilot make that 0:02 actually

  • The best job on Earth

  • I'd have a hard time flying one of these things because I would have a boner every time I got to fly.

  • @mardi06 SIR

    Pilot: I'M TAKING OFF!

ATC: NEGATIVE... YOU ARN'T CLEARED YET!

Pilot: I'M NOT TALKING ABOUT THE PLANE!

  • @wangchung1989 I thought that they would accept you "with correction"?

  • OMFG! This is me when I'm flying next year- Crue and Hornets! Now thats even better than a sex, drugs, rock'n'roll lifestyle!

  • woww i hope they didn't honestly give you a slot

  • @flight1510

haha, too bad for you then :)

  • what is song name

  • Kickstart My heart by Motley Crue

  • you can give me all your crazy shots as long as i get to say that i flew one

  • lol its 120m each for the worlds most advanced fight plane, tests have shown 1 f-22 taking down up to 8 f-15s, the f-15 said to be americas greatest fighter since its kill ratio is still till this day over 100 kills to 0 deaths in air to air combat.

  • how much gs is a cat launch

  • 6gs but its just for like 2 secs then youre airborne. Just when you fly off the edge it gets ruff then it is 9,5 gs but it is like for half a sec

  • 9.5Gs doubt it, it would over stress the aircraft to the max

  • No it really is 9.5 G´s. I talked with a guy who lives in germany who has been living in USA and been a fighterpilot yesterday. And it really is 9.5G´s but its only for a matter of decimals like 0.26 secs so it doesnt affect the aircraft and all you feel is that its shaking and you are getting like sucked into the cockpit seat

  • landing is a little more painful ive heard i had a friend that said he would get massive bruise's every time from the straps

  • They did stop producing the F-22 for combat. They switched over to the lockhead F-35 after deeming it better then the boeing f-32 I think it was. F-35 is neat because of it's vertical take off capabilities.

  • did not know that, im settling for the 2nd best job, in the military, infantry lol

  • i have to wait at least 8 years until i join the Air Force. I wanna fly the F-22 if its still around which it prolly will be.

  • Im prety sure the F22 takes like 10 years of flight experience to able to dly one.

  • i read up on it and first you need to start off flying a F-16 and you need 300 hours of flight time in order to qualify for F-22 flight training.

  • it was made less than ten years ago and has been flown... theory proved wrong

  • The f-22´s has stopped being developed! HAHA IT WAS TOO EXPENSIVE!

  • flying these is such a challenge,, 4 year degree, then ocs, 6-8 weeks, then flight school, 1 year, then training on the aircraft youll fly, another year,,and if you cant withstand the G-force at the end, you wasted your time,, but im well on my way,, for any of you that want to be a pilot,,work hard and make sure you are younger than 27 while doing ocs or its too late. good luck

  • this america ro australia. same thing applies over here. atleast be 27 or younger. but i def wanna be a pilot. im studting hard, and ever since i have ive noticed that i started getting A's rolling in.

  • I'm taking an ROTC route with the air force, or better yet just getting the 4 year degree in flight n is navigation(wanna fly airliners), but all in all, pilot is very competitive to get

  • Yup! Im looking to be a pilot when i grow up!

    Very hard work.

  • awesome man, thanks for the info. im in college right now and i'll have my degree in a few years then im joining the air force to become an F-15E WSO

  • best of luck to you man...

  • thanks

  • Defiantly the best job in the military, too bad i dont have the eyes for it.

  • Dont you need 20/20?

  • you need 20/20, or 20/20 correctable with lasik eye surgery, i have 20/20 in one eye but not my left, and it cant be corrected with eye surgery.

  • what were they doing at 2:25 ?

  • mid-air refuel

  • Great video...he made that refuel look easy.

  • Those of you who say you need a bachelors degree incorrect. You need to be an officer and to be an officer you need a bachelors degree but simply having a degree doesn't mean you are just qualified to fly. Officer training school is required if you didn't go through the academy or rotc. From there you go to flight school and available assignments are based on class rank. So if you can't beat out other students in flight school you will probably end up flying transports.

  • fuck yeah

  • Must be so cool to fly one of those. Plus you know the chicks probably dig that outfit.

  • Hell yeah they do. It's not just pilots either.

  • My brother just graduate from flight school and is going to fly the F/18 and I tried the sim and it was one of the gardest things i have ever done. I crashed.

  • some day i wish to fly one of these in the raadf

  • Raadf... well isn't that great. You can't even show proper respect for our AF by spelling it properly. I know its a minor niggle... but yeah.

  • wtf???? why would you give a shit if its a minor niggle. not my prob if i want to join the raadf, should i spell it out for you? Royal Australian Air Defence Force.

  • Do you need to pass a language in high school to be able to qualify for the AFROTC program in any University?

  • did u fail spanish?lol

  • No you do not, but it wouldn't hurt you to do so. Make sure you get your bachelors at an "accredited" college that has an ROTC program within. It help to do some research on finding a college that suits you best and has a runway nearby,..if you know what I mean;) course that's what I did. Good Luck!

  • you need a bachelors degree from any university to qualify.

  • you need 4 years of regular college or military college?

  • only the best of the BEST will ever pass the navy's flight school and the BEST of them will be trusted with fighter aircraft

  • in canada we have to be in the royal military college for 4 years befor we can join the air force

  • You don't need to go to RMC to be selected for a pilot slot.

  • Boys...only the BEST of the BEST ever launch from a carrier...

join airforce- their landing strip never moves...

  • true but their" landing strip" can't sink.

  • you also need a college degree. not sure if you need to be a citizen though.

I was planing on doing the same thing as you from germany, but the need to actually spend another 4 years working towards it and then having just a slight cahnce of actually flying killed it for me :(

  • good luck with that

  • Best job in the world... hands down. Keep on kickn' ass fellas

  • this looks so cool. my cousin dan kovalcik is gettin his wings on march 10th. he tells me all about this stuff. its really sweet. although the last thing i want from him is a funeral....

  • when I was interviewed for the f18, I said that when I flew over an aircraft carrier...I'd just drop my bombs on em...like Id do when I was a kid playing video games...always killin the freindlies.

  • SIIIIIIICK manuever at 1:16

  • No... the mask just helps for breathing in case the cockpit somehow has a decompression, and obviously for the microphone... so you don't always have to keep it on.

And yes, you can leave the oxygen off for the whole flight, the cockpit is pressurised. Obviously, they keep it on though, just to make radio comms easier. With the mask off, you can still hear comms, so at cruise you'd leave it off, there's no point to having it on, since you can still respond easily, but not frequently.

  • Never take off oxygen mask- it holds microphone and you never know when you must blast to 20,000 feet so you will need the oxygen!

Top Gun took it off so you could see actor's faces.

  • don't you think the pilot who the Military has trained and trusted with their multi-million dollar aircraft would know what he's doing....?

  • @pboyd17 you would think but people on youtube know better ;)

  • yeah, the cockpit is pressurized and oxygenated. he can breath if he takes his mask off. I think it just supplies a steady stream of air, and houses the mic.

  • Another stolen LL classic in YT.

  • all the noise is behind the pilot. plus helmet protection. but you can still hear it.

  • Incidentally this song also is played when the Blue Angels take off at airshows. It's so fitting.

  • P.S. - Song Title?

  • Kickstart my hart by Motley Crue

  • hey 1500 with no rent no food no electricity and shit but ur stuck on a boat for a few months

  • 3:17 is cool

"hey man whats up? Check out the missiles on my aircraft!"

  • best job all over the world!

  • sadly... you only get paid around $1500 a month

  • Maybe in the USA... in Europe you get more for sure

  • well, remember that Europe uses the Euro, so it could cut back down 2 the same... :)

(once again, im just a 14 year looking to join the navy) :)

  • i would pay them to let me fly, let alone them pay me!

  • lol, do you have $60,000 up ur sleeve for flight school, ( flight school for the navy)

any other flight school is less

  • you dont pay for flight school in military program if your in the navy, marines,or air force right?

  • lol, there's flight school, but then u have to go through training for the Navy, which is another flight school so you can call it Flight School

  • its very challegening to land on a carrier deck and trap the cable aresstors.

  • navy pilots will always rule omg...awesome.

  • You want to give me a free ride along. I got to do this in my life time no matter what it takes. But great video. Nice and clear. Great music as well. Should of asked Maj. Samantha Weeks last week. Doh! Lead solo for the USAF Thunderbirds.

Note to self - keep begging for a ride along in a jet. Maybe one day.

  • Look into flying with the Blue Angels

You can pay to do it..

I almost paid but i got one for free

  • Best vid i've ever seen. i rewally want 2 be a U.S. Air Force piolet some day

  • I got good and bad news. The good news is if you hop on the bus you could fly a F-22 Raptor. Bad news, the F/A-18 is in the Navy. And the Navy kicks ass :-p

  • great video *****

  • AWESOME video, one of the best I've ever seen. I wish I went into the Navy.

  • Thanks! I do what i can;)

  • @VuijkT what kind of college degrees does the airforce look for in aspiring pilots? I'm going to be a junior in highschool and suck lol. Is it too late to make up for my inadequacy?

  • Thank you!! I wish they would;).

  • Hahaha, Danku Danku;)!!!

  • thats awsome!!!

    great video
