Nathan Lane should have been in the film. Has he ever done hairspray on broadway? Lyrics are funnier on this! Ive played edna and wilbur, and used this as my basis as well as Brian Colloney in west end and John Travolta! :)

i jsut saw a local performance of hairspray and instead of french at the end they used shlaom and the actor couldnt stop laughing and they entire audience LOVED IT!!!!!! i got a t shirt and it was amzing!!! i saw a preson from american idol..he was from season 4

I was at the same performance! That was so funny! Jerry O'Boyle literally laughed for 3 or 4 minutes. My friend got to talk to them afterward (she was helping demolish the set) and they said they were all so tired that sometimes they just can't help it. Besides, it was HILARIOUS. I don't even think he got in trouble! Good times. I love this show.
