  • Michael, this is very interesting but I don't see how practicing a passionate presentation and giving it while modeling another person you admire will result in fluent-like speech in a high tension situation as giving a speech. However wouldn't it had been more of a challenge by giving a speech in Toastmasters for example and not explaining what you are doing, you can' always practice all the time telling people in advance that you are modeling yourself after someone to help your stuttering?

  • @tallerbruce Hello Bruce, there are actors who stutter, but, surprisingly, not while they're acting. Why is this? The technique does not request or require that you actually tell people that you are modeling. It only asks that you practice your presentation by yourself initially, then present it publicly. As you present it, you model yourself after someone you admire, or adopt some of the characteristics of someone you admire. This little technique allows you to forget that you stutter.
