i fucking love flea the red hot chili peppers and all the music they have made, but beginner bassists need to stop trying to model themselves around his playing, there are too many people i know who can slap okayish, but cant keep a rhythm or fret properly :L

@havokewf90 The difference between Flea and every average bass player that tries to be like him is only one: the timing. Flea's timing is almost always perfect, a real machine. On Youtube you can find thousand of that kind bass player, and no one is perfect as Flea on keeping time.

@MitchBass95 Yes, it's a Fx Pedal, Fx is not a effect, it's a Multi Pedal, in Fx Pedals are several effects inside (Phaser, Flanger......) XtuurX mean the effect.

If you read my first comment I clearly stated that "its an envelope filter, kind of like an automatic wah pedal". The Effect is called 'Envelope Filter' not 'Bass Synthesizer'. I also stated in my first comment, and then again in my second comment, the name of the particular model of Envelope Filter Flea uses in the video, the DOD FX25.

The FX25 is not a multi pedal or any other then an envelope pedal.
