The Switzer R1K upgrade takes the GT-R 35 right up to 1005 bhp (750 k/w) dyno

tested/proved & would set you back US$60 000-00. This entails a complete break down and build up of the GT-R engine (replacing many Nissan components) with Switzer parts, complete dyno tuning and drive train upgrades. All done at Switzer in Ohio. This GT-R monster is appropriately dubbed the Veyronosourus and certainly does let the Bugatti`s head spin. Unfortunately the R1K only runs on a special race

gas mixture.

@supercars01 yes but it all depends on the Launch Control System. PDK for instance, puts power down in a smooth way, gradually not suddenly. GTR's LC4 will probably produce high 8s with this kind of power (1000 whp), on slicks, as long as engagement of first gear is gradual, like PDK.

@Seventh7Art Don't forget most Porsche such as the PDK engines sits over the rear wheels so it gives the car better traction and better lanches. The only problem in Porsche for example the GT2 when turning corners because of the weight at the back it lifts the front making it more harder to turn but still awesome to drive though. I reckon it wont be long till GTR's hit the 8 second mark especially the way AMS and Switzer are going with their technology.
