kissing a guys ass doesn't mean that a person has good things to say about somebody. Anyways, I'm defending Shawn because nobody deserves to be criticized about the mistakes the person made in the past, just like you don't deserve to be criticized for your mistakes. Yeah, Shawn was a pillhead, but do you know why? Cuz drugs made Shawn feel normal. It was an escape. Addiction is a hard habit to break because the person becomes dependent. It's hard man.
Just because Shawn took drugs doesn't mean he wasn't a good person. It was his brain telling him that he needed the pill. He just didn't have the skills to find better ways to cope with pain, depression or whatever else. Let's focus on the positive. Shawn has been clean for 10 years, I think. That's awesome! He overcame addiction and now he's spending more time with his family. Let's focus on that. So addiction means that you're dependent on the substance and it's hard to stop
