  • Comment removed

  • The solo rocks.

  • Kiss without makeup Complete Fail

  • Ain't nothin faggier than a singer shaking a tambourine like a retard. FAIL! At least Paul and Gene look like they're having fun and Paul Schaffer is just lovin the viby playing along.

  • @nickcastrellon This from a man that has videos of shirtless men lifting weights on his youtube page WTF?

  • @lob287 I'm a trainer you retard. I gotta keep up with my colleagues.

  • this is a good cd

  • what year was this?

  • @MrBlimbo 1992

  • @MrBlimbo 1994

  • yeahh!

  • wow this is good shame the quality aint gr8.. what year was this aired??

  • Wow! Haven't seen that since I saw it broadcast the first time! Thanks!

  • thats very good! wao.. uuuhuuu!

  • sounds like dogshit. thanks

  • Thanks for sharing ... I recorded this off my TV when it aired that night, long ago. Your copy is better than mine!

  • great solo men

  • Nope, I haven't heard that.

  • do you have the vid where they performed "follow you down" on letterman?

  • This is not a mashup I would have ever expected!

  • Paul Schaffer is KICKING ASS on the piano and looks like he is having a blast.

  • This is my favorite tribute album...Mighty Mighty Bosstones rendition of "Detroit rock city" is fantastically fun, and Dinosaur Jr.'s played "Goin' blind" like it was written for them!...this tribute album got me into Kiss...I became obsessed with Kiss for awhile!

  • what is the tribute cd called?

  • it's called Kiss My Ass: Classic Kiss Regrooved

  • This was in June of 1994, not 1995.

  • look how big Pauls head is!

  • KISS rules! sonic boom is awesome cd!!!!!!

  • I love how Paul Shaffer was joining in on piano!

  • lol he's TOTALLY into it! \m/

  • My favorite from this album was Dr. Love, with Maynard Keenan and Tom Morello. (Shandi's Addiction)

  • I remember watching this when I was 11 or 12 . 25 now and not into KISS that much anymore. Cool video though

  • Get a rope, like Brooks did.

  • This is from the KISS My Ass album. Paul looks huge next to that singer - he could snap his neck like a breadstick if he wanted.

  • I love this collaboration! What year was this, anyone know??

  • 1995

  • It's not really KISS. It's Paul & Gene only. Where's Bruce & Eric?

  • eric died before this

  • I realise Eric Carr car had already died. I was refering to Eric Singer.

    Too many Erics!!

  • i love this cover !

  • One hit wonders they are not.

  • wow what ever happened to Gin Blossems? 1 hit wonders I guess.

  • Bruins90210, Are you kidding me? Are you living in a cave? Granted they don't have a very large number of hits, but probably have had a dozen over the years and they're still writing good songs. To say they are 1 hit wonders is just ignorant on your part.

  • porchy44 well its true...sorry man

  • He probably just did not hear anything- The Gin Blossoms are still a great band...As well as Kiss.

  • I just saw the Gin Blossoms last month in Annapolis. It was a killer show, and gues what? The new album is great too.

  • Ok Capitain sounds good,I'll check it out!

  • Not quite. 'Jealousy', 'Found Out About You', 'Until I Fall Away', 'Follow You Down' etc. etc. etc... I think that clearly moves them out of '1 Hit Wonder' status. And the fact they are touring almost constantly and still coming up w/great music/albums shows just how much staying power they have.

  • "your a freshman, and i'm a senior." What was that.lol. Did they have to change the lyrics for t.v.

  • Yup, they did.

  • Maybe, but Gene is not known for being spot-on while singing live. LOL

  • The singer is awesome!

    Wonderful version! :)

  • this just proves that KISS is always willing to give the newer (or smaller) band their big break. i love how KISS respects and remembers where they came from and is still down to earth. look at all the bands they gave a break opening for them: AC/DC, Motley Crue, Cheap Trick, Scorpions, Rammstein. the list goes on

  • The list goes on, but, how many bands in this genre?

  • @KISSfan888 I'm going to respectfully disagree with you. Gene has always seen younger bands as a way to make more money. Most legendary bands allow tribute albums to happen without them having to get in there and control everything legally. Those opening bands you mentioned were all good for ticket sales and it really had nothing to do with KISS being kind to them.

  • @saintrico Well that's how the music business works. Bands pick opening acts that are gaining momentum so they gain popularity. You are right with the tribute albums. But when KISS took those bands to open for them. They were close to nobodies. So they wouldn't be factor to selling tickets.

  • @KISSfan888 Gene knows the music business is about MONEY. He wouldn't gamble money on another band JUST because he wants them to get exposure. He (& Bill Aucoin) knew that those were up and coming bands with their own growing fan base. So YES, they were definitely a factor in selling tickets. Same with Man of a 1,000 Faces records. He sees the money making potential and wants a piece of the pie. Nothing wrong with that, but certainly nothing benevolent either.

  • paul and gene are wearing 4-5 inch platform shoes yes really, you can see them on paul @1.00 very cool suff indeed !

  • Damn!!! The boys from the Gin Blossoms did a good job with this song. Robin's vocals were really, really good. Give Gene and Paul credit to know how to change a song up a little. I'm sure its one reason they stayed so successful for all those years.

  • MIZZOUJT - Yeah, you can totally tell from that video. ( roll eyes)

  • Well it is said that KISS is an acronym for Keep It Simple Stupid, so perhaps they do things a certain way on purpose.

  • Shout your fucking mouth! You know nothing about KISS.

  • what?! that makes no sence. there was a KISS character on wrestling but things like that make KISS more special and inspiring than w/e dumbass band you listen to

  • You might want to learn how to spell "sense" pal. I probably should not have been disrespectful to KISS. They are genius to come up with the idea of combining makeup, but many people don't like the music. I guess it's all personal taste.

  • It's all about the music. It's the people who can't see past the make-up that tend to criticize.

  • Hey like I said, I think it was a smart idea to combine the makeup, after all none of the members are great musicians, just ask anyone in the music industry. However, most rock and roll historians agree that the really great bands don't need a gimmick, their music is all they need. I really do respect Gene Simmons as a businessman though, if you look up info on him you will find that he built his fortune not on music, but on his savvy business skill.

  • agreed. Gin Blossoms are sweet though

  • Yes the Gin Blossoms are great. Even more amazing live. About a year ago, we got to go to a small staff party in the City for one of our customers. He's a high roller and always books bigger acts. That year he booked the Gins. It was amazing to get to see them in such an intimate setting, and to meet the band. Their harmonies are incredible live!

  • Kin'ell...a combination I'd never have dreamed up...but cracking track :)

  • why do gene and paul look like giants next to the Gin Blossoms guys. are they that tall and muscular?

  • The Gins are little!

  • Robin and Scotty are tiny (lead singer and guitarist, respectively). Phillip Rhodes (drummer) and Bill Leen (bassist, not in this video) are pretty big guys. And Jesse Valenzuela (guitarist, not in this video) is pretty average-sized.

  • Does it matter? It's a great performance.

  • No, it doesn't matter. Somebody asked, I answered. They're a great band, no matter how big (or little) they are.

  • that vd is so cool ! great !

  • Gene Simmons is HOT!!

  • Cool performance.
