I like Goodbye, Sky Harbor and all, but if there's one song from the Jimmy Eat World discography I would move to a different album, I would throw this one on as the closer for Clarity. Futures was a fine album, but Clarity is one of the truly vintage recordings of the past 20 years in any musical capacity; this song always seemed to belong more to that album. But I'm just a goofball.

i haven't cried for over a year. yesterday one of my newer but most dear friends told me about something horrible that happened to her three years ago. however long ago it happened, i guess it was just too incomprehensible to me that something so awful could have happened to her, and that kinda pushed me over my limit. so i broke down. i had trouble letting the tears come until i heard this song. it's so... cathartic, and it really helped me feel a lot better.

Either ppl liked the quote, b/c they see it as true to society, or they see it as true from their perspective or both. I prefer the later, b/c if it is seen from society's perspective, we are in grave danger of killing ourselves or letting someone kill ourselves, when we have the strength to live on.

I think this song can be difficult to understand because its almost about two different thin gs that link in to be the same!! On one side its kinda a love song and on the other its about making life your own and not holding back but I think overall its about both, that you shouldnt wait around for anything be it life or a person, you should go after want you want and be happy :) xx
