I saw this movie for the first time today , since I'm learning to speak Hangul it was great that the majority of the movie is in Hangul. There are subtitles to follow along with the movie. Every martial art is beautifull, and taekwondo is a great martial art, and it is very usefull for selfe defense. How effective a martial art is depends on the fighter himself, and teakwondo kicks can be very powerfull and effective if practised and timed rightly. in a lot of fighting tournaments like that they do use akido for takedowns. They don't stay big on it because akido uses a persons body weight against them. the way the points system works it wouldnt help. most actually use some of it, a small portion in those fights.

No, he's a 7th Dan because he married the daughter of his sensei, Miyako Fujitani (whom he left back in Japan while he married LeBrock in the US...then impregnated the babysitter). In an interview, she said the only reason he got the grading he did was because the judge who awarded him was known for his incompetence and actually fell asleep during the ceremony.
But none of that matters because Aikido is a useless art anyway. Sorry all you losers who have been wasting years of your lives!!

what martial arts do u practice then, i can tell u that i practice wado-ryu karate and aikido, and i find them both to be effective, even more so if u combine them, but anyway until u can actually prove aikido is useless, (which u can't, stop being a fail and try it and give an experienced judgement on it), and a large part of aikido is based on the spiritual side which helps bring inner peace, perhaps if u tried it u would be less of a fail than u r now

in a lot of fighting tournaments like that they do use akido for takedowns. They don't stay big on it because akido uses a persons body weight against them. the way the points system works it wouldnt help. most actually use some of it, a small portion in those fights.
