  • I love Celebi's fainting animation.

  • omg Porygon has Rinnegan!!

  • psssh, Ambipom looks cute pink...

  • 5:02 the baby os kanghastan was fall down, omg., what a careles mother -.-

  • I wonder if this is compatible with HeartGold... because I have to beat the game by this spring for the Video game championships

  • Yes, it's compatible with HeartGold/SoulSilver. I've already seen Pokémon from those games over PBR.

  • at last with another protect it was everything or nothing and it was everything good fight!

  • Wow, that one was a real nail-biter! But yeah, at that one point in the battle, I thought he was going to Fake Out your Golduck while his Dragonite Dragon Danced or something. Who knew it would have Aqua Tail? You were smart to protect with Camerupt. Also, good move, using Flamethrower when both of his Pokemon were in the yellow. Although Protect would have racked up another turn of burn damage, if Kangaskhan had used Substitute (if she had it), that would have been a big problem.

  • Awesome battle!

  • My opinion:

Kanga's fake out on Golduck was pretty obvious because you had already revealed that you had Ice Beam which would most certainly 1HKO his Dragonite (albeit Focus Sash). I would have brought out Sableye to replace Golduck since it's immune to normal attacks.

  • but then what would you have done with the dragonite?

  • This is epic!

  • Were did you get Celebi

  • wow your camerupt could have failed protect....

  • heads you win man. that was close

  • hey if u have platinium can u copy the pokemon to pbr?

  • yeah u can

  • yeah

  • sable eye is my favorite is he on any pokemon episode sable eye isnt very popular

  • he is i dont know what one but i have seen him in one

  • yeah in erly hoen

  • lol it really was a coin flip. 50% protect wouldnt work and 50% it would.

  • lucker

  • Awesome!

  • as epic as it can get !

  • Murphy's law... whatever can go wrong seems to at the worst possible moments. Your opponent got a nasty dose of Murphy at the end with the double Protect.

  • Yeah, and I got a dose of it in the following match, showing no one is immune to it. (I wonder if I passed it onto my opponent after that.

  • how in the wold did you git that celebl?!

  • Legit Celebi can come from the pokemon 10th anniversary event, and then Pal Parked into one of the DS pokemon games.

  • How did you get a Celebi?

  • ya I mess that comment up. sorry.

  • You DID narrowly escape defeat. If it wasn't for that Will-o'-the-wisp, the outcome of the battle could've been a lot different. O_O

  • sableye looks like he's on crack whenever he faints lol

  • GO Camerupt!

  • Great battle Overhazard, your team is very well blended, they all make great partners on the field. I like your Camerupts moveset just fine btw.

Ugh, I wish Will-O-Wisp had better accuracy myself, I tried it on my Torkoal, and it just is too unreliable without either Wide Lens or Gravity support imo.

As for Heat Wave, it hits most of the time, except for the times you really, really need it to (kind of like Hydro Pump I'm sure). lol

  • My luck usually doesn't do that either. I had fully expected to lose this one.

I chose against Mawile because I was worried about all the Fighting and Ground attacks this team was capable of. That and Porygon-Z can ravage Mawile.

  • You were real lucky with 2 Protects! Awesome Overhazard!

  • I can't believe Kangaskhan didn't use earthquake on the turn that he used Sucker Punch. He was already faster than Camerupt so he didn't have to worry about getting outran and Ambipom would have attacked first so it wouldn't have mattered if he killed his own teammate cuz Camerupt would have died, too.

Nice match though. The ending was great!

  • He might have underestimated Camerupt's defenses...In any case, that would have handed me the victory, as Camerupt has Solid Rock and is holding a Shuca Berry right now.

  • Ooooh, Shuca berry instead of Pasho berry. Good call.

  • Quite the nail biter!

Pretty good match - your opponent sure liked using fake out >_> guess it's good when you want to stall stall that's super effective against one of your pokemon.

  • That was an intense ending! you got really lucky with those 2 protects :D, you did really good 5/5...how comes that theres a male pink ambipom Oo?

  • Man, that was close. I predicted those last three moves, and was still surprised.

  • ur camerupt is tank! that was awesome :D

  • Hurray for Camerupt!

I always find it funny when Pokemon who have fainted determine the outcome of the battle or at least help from "beyond the grave." If Sableye wouldn't have burned Ambipom, the outcome probably would've been different.

  • Very different indeed. That WIll-O-Wisp was probably the most important move I did the whole match.

  • What a close match!5 stars.Those 2 protects were risky,but it was protect or have a draw so yeah/

  • very close man, you got lucky with that second protect hehe

  • It is nice to see Celebi, it is one of my favourite pokemon!

  • Oh man, I was on the edge of my seat for this fight. I get really hyped when a fight literally comes down to one move.

  • Ugh... That damn Fake Out. Their Pokemon used it at least 3 times during the match. They must not have had that much of a strategy going in. It's nice to see you battling again. :)

  • This person must really like Fake Out, since three of the Pokeemon on this team can learn it. (I thought Dragonite could too, but I looked it up and I was wrong.)

  • Yeah, I doubt Dragonite's Fake Out abilities entirely. If Dragonite could have Fake Out, it pretty much would've been all over. But I wouldn't have taken the loss too harshly anyways if the opponent had to result to such a cheap way in winning. :P

  • As in always using Fake Out all the time? It's risky...a team like that is dead meat against Pokémon with Inner Focus, like Alakazam or Lucario.

  • Yup.

  • Epic ending. risky but paid off 2 use 2 protects in a row

  • Lol I've done that Protect Stalling before with my honchkrow, except it was a singles.

I personally would've brought Mawile in this match, but that's just what I think.

  • In one of the other videos said that Porygon-Z's Ice Beam is really shaky. This video proves it!

  • Ok I did not watch the movie yet but by the looks it's look like your going to get a hit by Fake Out

    now I am watching

Good job I think you sud get rid of Amnesia and teach it Eruption or flamethower for it but you need it

  • just to start off, your a good battler, but i noticed some things, but this is constructive criticism. I noticed that you were trying to faint Porygon, when ambipom was the one that was really hurting your team. I read the description, about the whole Milotic thing, but still. Good battle though :P

  • Porygon-Z is a very high priority threat, especially if it's using Tri Attack. No doubt that if Mawile goes down, Porygon-Z would've gone after Golduck with Tri Attack or Thunderbolt next. Ambipom is highly dangerous, but his threat is a lot less when Burned.

  • fake out every time is a low blow!

  • I would hate to be that male pink Ambipom...

  • Protect is such a cheap move IMO but then again if you didnt have Protect you would of lost.

  • Stalled your way to victory :D

  • That was really close! I'm not sure if you really made any mistakes, but good job overall.

  • Great match! Im glad protect didn't miss at the end.

  • Hahahaha my, amazing battles, as always n_n

I sometimes try to use a double protect, but... it only worked twice x_x

    You an amazing player! =D

  • I was like, OMG! CLIMAX! when Camerupt used his last protect.

  • You were lucky that protect work on the last turn. Good game anyways.

  • With the damage that Ambipom was dishing out, you would think it wasn't burned at all... frightening.

  • WOW, that camerupt is pretty hard to k.o, your skills arent that rusty has you say, just keep practice, till next video, cya ;)

  • Camerupt looks like easy pickings but he really isn't. I'm sometimes apprehensive about using Camerupt myself, but then I realize that he's had a lot of KOs in his name.

  • EPIC WIN!XD

  • Nice useage of Protect!

  • Wow, you were lucky that your last Protect did work.

  • What amazing quality...

  • amazing battle. and what a conclusion!

  • y was ambipom taking damage after each hit.(and i dont mean the burn)

  • life orb?

  • Life orb, it gives the pokemon holding it a 1.3x bonus to any attack, but at the cost of 10% of hp each time an attack hits.

  • a life orb, no question

  • Purely epic. =]

Haha. Kangaskans baby was like "yeeeeeeeeeeeeha! an earthquake!" lol i just had to mention that. =]

  • good match. lucky that protect worked at the end and it seemed like i saw the words "fake out" lots in this match =)

  • Loved the battle Overhazard! I love how you you deal with certain situations, and if Will-o-Wisp didn't hit you would of lost but I'm glad you didn't. :P

  • You played just as well as ever...no problems I can see...and you were right...a 50/50 ending

I think it was the fake out that made this battle challenging

  • This marks the first time I've heared the Announcer say "the energy level of the fans has been turned up to 11" at an appropriate moment. That was a very tense end to the battle.

I didn't really see any major mistakes, my only comment would be that it was pretty obvious Golduck was going to get Fake Outed at 5:00, but there really wasn't anything you could do about it.

  • Heh, the announcer is programmed to say it when both players are down to their last Pokémon. By coincidence, he actually said it at a tense moment.

I think one thing I could've done was let Camerupt face up to that Earthquake, then switch Glduck out later for Sableye and cancel out the Fake Out. Though my opponent might see that coming and use Aerial Ace on Sableye instead.

  • You were lucky protect worked twice! This match couldn't get any closer Overhazard.

  • He has Hydro Pump because it has higher base power and hits only 1 pokemon, not the partner pokemon as well. Psych Up to get Camerupts Amnesia, and Ice Beam to hit every type except Water.

  • I have never liked the accuracy of Hydro Pump, the set may be better suited for a Psychic/ Icebeam moveset. Golduck's lack of a solid ground move and flimsiness makes him fairly unfit for most battles- also the curious lack of Psychic makes him very susceptible to the all-too-common Toxicroak- keep in mind Golduck does not deal well with other water types.

  • Well Golduck is pretty flimsy anyway, I think the idea is to get as much damage as possible through it, anyway Hydro Pump has 80/85 accuracy (I can't remember) which isn't too bad...?

  • what?

So you're saying every pokemon needs a ground attack to be decent in competetive battling? XD

Water types in general don't deal well with other water types, so it's not as if Golduck is alone in that regard.

Also this is PBR, not competetive UU, toxicroak and the like aren't too common, as more powerful OU pokemon are used more often, fi anythign Overhazard should be aiming to deal with these threats.

  • Surf is a very risky move in double battles, even more than Hydro Pump. That's because it hits your partner, which very often is something I can't afford to do.

You're also thinking in terms of Shoddy Battle, it looks like (even using their language and terminology). Pokémon Battle Revolution is not Shoddy Battle. I understand PBR's environment and built teams accordingly.

I also rarely see Toxicroak. This is probably the first Toxicroak I've seen in PBR in months.

  • Comment removed

  • That's not the way I build a team.

  • man that was so lose at the end

    5/5

  • I don't think you made any real mistakes in that match. The only thing is possibly getting Camerupt Heat Wave, something I'm sure you've thought about. It's not always useful due to the lower accuracy or if your opponent has a pokemon with Flash Fire (although you do have Earth Power to deal with those).

But I think the positives largely outweigh the negatives, extra power and ability to hit both of your opponent's pokemon can be very useful.

  • I agree. Moves that hit multiple foes are great in Doubles, paticularly for finishing off a weakened foe and damaging another at the same time.

  • That would be interesting to consider...though someone with the Platinum version would have to do a favor for me and consult a Move Tutor about that.

  • I could do that for you

I've got more then enough shards to pay for Heat Wave several times over.

  • Nah, I think you've already done me a Move Tutor favor. (Have you? I forgot...)

  • No, but I think I offered you a Micle berry once.

  • Hm, in that case, I'll accept your offer. I hope Camerupt has enough offensive power to take care of threats like he does with Flamethrower though...

  • Excellent, I'll pm you my info and stuff a little later.

And considering Heat Wave is 5 points stronger I wouldn't worry.

  • Well, when two or more Pokémon are hit by it, its power is cut by a third. That's what I'm concerned about.

  • Hm? Where'd you hear that?

Nowhere mentions that, not even Smogon.

    Maybe just in Gen?

  • i give you a 5/5

  • INCREDIBLE VICTORY, me encanta ver tus peleas, me estan hacendo cambiar mis tcticas, espero poder tener una pelea contigo y tmbien una carrera de mario kart, bueno eso es todo bye beee :3

  • I love sableye , mawile and wigglytuff 5 stars!

  • lol two fake outs

  • The opponent's team seems to be based around Fake Out. Three of them can learn it.

  • Hey, we all make mistake mate, awsome battle and keep it up!
