I read somewhere that the original lyric was, " Sick of my dick, 'cause my balls are blue."
The record company rejected it for some reason. So much for artistic integrity. It's a shame that a recording artist has to rewright a song to pacify some record exec.
the only album he did that on is Blue Sky on Mars. his first three albums all feature other personnel on the rest of the instruments, most notably Richard Lloyd and Robert Quine on lead guitar.
What's wrong w/the sound quality? I can barely hear what he's singing. Wish the sound quality was a little better. Not much into college music but I've always liked this song.
@Astaeria Wow. anal (haha) asked you a question about the sound. I mean, we all appreciate your upload, but it does sound a little messed up. You didn't have to bear your claws. Meee-owwww.
No problem for the lyrics. Usually when I look for songs I like on YouTube, I prefer the lyrics to be included. I figured other people would want that too if I uploaded songs. :]
I love this song. I just saw M. Sweet perform at the 8 x 10 club in Baltimore last Wednesday. His music is still great, what a writer and composer!!! Thanks so much for putting this cool song AND LYRICS out there!
Great song! Great songwriter! Terrific Rock 'n' Roll. Thanks for uploading with lyrics.

Loved this song during the grunge years! Too bad we had to grow up and get so bitter in love. But I still listen to it when I have a new crush.

Matthew Sweet is one of the very under-rated artists of the 90s. He has a knack for pure, raw emotion...and amazing guitar work.

I've never heard this before. I listened to the DCFC cover first, this one is 10x better! So much energy! Is this song from the 90s?
