  • Samrt as carrots....even if they are the Irish Guards ;0)

  • What is a "Yob"?

  • I would suggest that the two running soldiers are to protect the regimental colour which the officer used to carry. It is a left over from those days.

  • V good, well done. the only thing spoiling it is those yobs in yellow, how they fancy themselves.

  • @bootsandsaddles You leave those guys in yellow alone - they are there for a purpose.

  • Haha 1:14 xD

  • @EveGallente

The soldier you are pointing out had just ran from the back of the column. This was all on command, nothing out of the ordinary happening here.

  • Keep this stuff coming. It is fantastic!!!!!!!!!

  • I like the additional unit on parade on the return to barracks with the old guard. I think it is the 1st Battalion The Queens Own Baby Buggys! (Armoured Recon Unit) lol

  • @drum3433 aye! did ye no see the mobile phone launchers at the side o the armoured buggies. lol

  • Nah Wayne! Hes running to protect the escort (The Man at the front of the guards with a sword)! hope this helps.

  • I do believe that they are providing the escort for the officer.

Protecting the escort would mean they would be protecting themselves. :P

  • it is a leftover element from when they would take colours on a windsor guard

  • Great video again, at 1:13 what is the guard with gun doing it looks like he has lost his place in the group and running to catch up.

  • In the US military he would be the 'road guard' who stops car traffic as the troops march past - then runs to catch up with the unit after the last man has passed the cars.

  • At 2 min 18 it is the third most popular march in the USA National Emblem by Bagley

  • @rmorecook : And right after that is a march almost unheard of in the US - General Mitchell by R B Hall

  • Hi Friend Remember to use your tripod - even if only one leg extended as a unipod. It's the biggest improvement you can make to this wonderful video

  • At about 2:06 the Guardsmen on the left, forming the Officer escort, looks like the poor guy is limping!

  • great stuff!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Congrats on exceptionally fine videography...keep them coming! My day's not complete without hearing the strains of martial music. A great selection of marches today: Glorious Victory, National Emblem, General Mitchell and St. Patrick's Day. Bravo! Many thanks for your work.

  • well said formerdoc!

  • Worth waiting for!

  • Definitely.
