As intelligent, sentient beings, ones ruled on emotion and not on instinct, it is the most pertinent fact that makes us 'human'. Morals have evolved from emotional connections to certain events and behaviours, and passed down through generations as a form of emotion, until they became into writing and law. Nowadays, these morals are hard wired into our very fabric of our being.

@JimothyJimson Our fine tuned universe is hardly chance. Google, "fine tunning of the universe" and see the odds. Scientists believe that the only way for our universe to exist is an infinite number of universes being created. However, there is no evidence of a multi universe. Nevertheless, I do share the believe of a multi universe theory. This explains our fine tunning where ancient species evolved zillions of years before us and one of them figured out how to create our fine tunned universe.

I just think that is more probable that our universe was fine tuned by an intelligent being that evolved zillions of years before us. @Alineniz There are many religions in the world that believe in a God. The majority of the world's population follows a type of religion (Christianity top 1) . All scriptures were written by men from 100'sand even 1000's of years ago. It is hard to validate any scriptures if there is no other evidence. However, the way Christianity emerged and the recounts of the life of Jesus made it a 1st choice to me to look for answers. Science last explanation is multi universe which supports my belief.

I have limited knowledge (college class elective) on other religions but enough to acknowledge that they share similar beliefs. The answers I found so far in Christianity give me an open mind to the possibility of the existence of a creator. Just because scripts cannot be validated does not mean they don't contain insightful information.
For question #4 about the killing... people have always and continue to kill each other over trivial things (vikings, crusades, WWI, WWII, Vietnam War, our conflict in Iraq today) just to name a few. I would just like to point out how simplistic his understanding of animals social interaction is. You do not need to invoke our higher intelligence to see that 'mercy' benefits both communities. And that is has been shown, conclusively, that competing communities of social animals often benefit from the competition in a way isolated communities do not.
@Christopholaes To spell it out. It has been recognised for all of human history that certain things were seen as taboo or 'off the cards' as an action. That even in the height of tribal battle some were to be spared, or given painless deaths etc., in all cultures. All that has happened over the history of man is a 'raising of the bar' if you will. Morals have evolved from emotional connections to certain events and behaviours, and passed down through generations as a form of emotion, until they became into writing and law. All scriptures were written by men from 100'sand even 1000's of years ago. It is hard to validate any scriptures if there is no other evidence. However, the way Christianity emerged and the recounts of the life of Jesus made it a 1st choice to me to look for answers. Science last explanation is multi universe which supports my belief.

I have limited knowledge (college class elective) on other religions but enough to acknowledge that they share similar beliefs. The answers I found so far in Christianity give me an open mind to the possibility of the existence of a creator. Sort of, but youre far from entirely right. you are excluding the entire human kind from your equation. Evolutionists line up the most promising choices to present a gradual progression from monkey to modern man. They simply fill in the big gaps with make-believe creatures to fit the picture. This procedure can be done with humans only because there are many extinct monkey and ape species. They never do this with giraffes and elephants... that's the funny thing about evolution :D

@pointzeroblack Well life has certain requirements. It all comes down to complicated chemicals and reactions and energy. We cant live in the sun its to warm. Most chemicals would be changed in such an atmosphere. Truth is, scientists dont know what it needs. Theys suspect that water in three different forms is vital. But carbon is also the key to all life on Earth, perhaps carbon is the key. Maybe the life is so weird, we cant see it or understand it at all.

@bamboostinger 1) yes. 2) the only changes to the bible are textual errors and being rewritten in different languages. some parts are taken out but nothing is really changed. 3) it was written before the close of the first century by those who either knew Christ personally, had encountered him, or were under the direction of those who were his disciples.

3:Most of the New Testament are letters discovered, and then translated.
4: God can allow war and suffering because we brought it upon ourselves, by rejecting him.(a religious answer for a religious question.

But, once again this is a matter of interpretation. An example, Sodom and Gomorrah. to someone, this might seem like a genocide of two cities for a selfish God. fair enough. BUT it can also be taken as a message of how much God hates Sin. Peace be with you brother.

If God hates Sin then you must also explain whence it came, considering God must either have created it, allowed it to be created, or known that either he or someone else would create it or allow it to be created. Are you saying God could not look through time from the beginning of everything and recognise that sin would be perpetrated? So why would he allow or create it?
