Though I'd oppose male circumcision, too, it's by far not as harmful to health and sexuality to men as to women. @77tay1 Negative, it really does not. Lack of the foreskin in males greatly reduces pleasure during copulation due to how sensitive the skin is and maintains the tip as an inner organ. Now I'm not gonna argue the cancer thing because I just don't know (everything gives you cancer now a days, so obviously I take it with a grain of salt). But all the risk of transferring disease is taken care of with a condom, which should be used anyway. Granted, FC is more brutal, but it's just as pointless.

Men still have no problem reaching orgasm, but when male circumcision became popular it was introduced BECAUSE the foreskin was so sensitive, it was meant to keep little boys from touching themselves down there. I'm saying that when you have a foreskin it's more pleasurable than it is now. It has a purpose, to keep the tip as an inner organ and hence more sensitive.

You're way off base. Circumcision is not genital mutilation. It was originated as a practice of good hygiene. In modern times it's unnecessary, but still done because of tradition. The side effect is NOMINAL. Plenty of men are perfectly fine without the foreskin. Clitoral circumcision is an ENTIRELY different matter. Once performed, a female experiences a significant reduction of nerve stimulation. The intention is to remove pleasure from sex. THAT is why it is done. It is WRONG!

At the very least though (again, must emphasize - none of this should be happening), it is apparentely a relatively painless procedure for boys, as my Turkish muslim friend can attest to. I used to fly home for 2 months in the summer to enjoy the beaches and then head back. I remember the queen going through Harrods at Xmas when they shut the store down while she shopped. Lots of film stars and bands etc. The music department was large back then but they down sized it a few years later .

Though I'd oppose male circumcision, too, it's by far not as harmful to health and sexuality to men as to women. Moreover,men are still the more powerful in society (compared to women) I don't think we need to treat them as babies, they are able to abolish this practice themselves if they consider it unacceptable.

@77tay1 Negative, it really does not. Lack of the foreskin in males greatly reduces pleasure during copulation due to how sensitive the skin is and maintains the tip as an inner organ. Now I'm not gonna argue the cancer thing because I just don't know (everything gives you cancer now a days, so obviously I take it with a grain of salt). But all the risk of transferring disease is taken care of with a condom, which should be used anyway. Granted, FC is more brutal, but it's just as pointless.

Men still have no problem reaching orgasm, but when male circumcision became popular it was introduced BECAUSE the foreskin was so sensitive, it was meant to keep little boys from touching themselves down there. I'm saying that when you have a foreskin it's more pleasurable than it is now. It has a purpose, to keep the tip as an inner organ and hence more sensitive.

the head of the penis is supposed to be moist at all times to facilitate sensation and pleasurable interaction with females. this cannot happens without skin to protect the head (glans) from the environment, much as eyelids protect your eyeballs. Plus the skin structure (frenulum) which connects the foreskin to the head of the penis is regarded as the male g-spot and is always damaged and sometimes completely removed by circumcision. I doubt you will be making me feel foolish anytime soon
