  • This was my favorite Atari 2600 game. It's more colorful than most games of the machine (look at all those multi colored sprites moving at one time) and the screen looks busy, with a lot of stuff to see. Even the sprite that you control is painstakingly detailed, has 3 colors and you can clearly see buttons on his uniform and a little stick that he holds. It was a simple game to understand, with tight controls and pretty addictive gameplay for Atari 2600 standards.

  • I played it on 800XL, totally badass game

  • Adoro esse jogo !!!

  • So gratifying when you'd catch the dude at the end! I also love the way he subtly slips into the elevator lol.

  • I remember this - brings back memories, we had it on the Atari XE.

  • You lost a life if that villain (Harry Hooligan) made it off the right edge of the roof - so where did he go from there?

  • I can't believe that I still have my Atari 2600, the joysticks and all of my games which includes Keystone Kapers. I really liked the Activision games from that time.

BTW, I really love how the player can't position himself to enter the elevator at 3:44. That was such a challenge.

  • oh god i remember playing this game so many years ago <3

  • A complete and fun game in 4096 bytes...

  • I played this game for hours at a time when I was a kid and used to hear the running noise in my sleep. Atari 4 life!

  • Activision was very creative. They ruled Atari games

  • LOL the player got a bit frustrated when the missed the elevator at 3:43!!

  • I played this on my cousin Atari

  • Atari rules

  • I remember playing this when I was a little boy! The chock-chock noise of the running cop is pure nostalgia for me!

  • Does this game have an ending? I have played it using an emulator (saving states) for a lot of time and it doesn't seem to have one.

The difficulty level wasn't being increased anymore.

  • I still have it on my atari :P Shit gonna turn off now pc and go play that game...

  • @Dfens2008 ME TOO

  • they need to bring this game back , maybe to the Wii or something. I'm serious! They are starting to do retro all over again on the wii. They just brought back Boy and his Blob, and now did a showcase hype 2D version of super mario bros! They need to go back further into the Atari realm and bring these classics back!

  • 3:42 kkkkkkkk

  • Man this brings back memories.....from like 24 or so years ago.

  • 3:42 HAHAHAAHAHAH

  • hahahahaha

  • this was an amazing game wheres the intro music? lol

  • Another quality game on the 2600 which doesn't seem to be as well remembered as it deserves. Very playable and some of the best animation on that console imo. Good memories of playing this one over 20 years ago!!!

  • Definitely. Actually, in terms of over all quality (graphics + playability), Activision pretty much put out most of the best Atari 2600 games. Imagic was a close # 2, & this is just a "personal; favorite" but some of my favorite games were made by Xonox. Runners up were IMO, Parker Bros., Coleco, & whatever company made "Real Sports" games. I love Atari. Although I have a real 2600, 5200, & 7800, I am so thankful for "emulators". I have practically EVERY game for every classic system.

  • Great game!!!
